Honestly, if anyone's ever watched the Singapore YGO dub, how can they ever complain about the 4Kids voices? Yami Bakura sounds like the evil Kaiba imposter from Duel with a Ghoul. @___@ Yami Y and Tristan sound terribly similar. Joey's voice didn't have enough feeling. (Well, actually, no one's did.) And worst of all, Bakura became a Southern belle! XD; I didn't know whether to laugh hysterically or hide in a corner.
Yes, the Singapore dub kept the original music, and tried to keep the original dialogue. But with bad acting, it's not worth it! No one sounds professional in that dub. They sound like a bunch of high school kids just goofing off. I could barely get through watching The Evil Spirit of the Ring, when I did so on Saturday night, and then I immediately watched the American version over again. ^^; (Couldn't find anyone who had the original Japanese, or I would have watched that instead of the Singapore dub.)
