1. I'm nearly curious as to what you would think of the PGSM(live action pairings) with the generals, but then I recall you're iffy about PGSM Nephrite. I've seen it's popular in fandom, but as much as I like toying with the idea myself (haha, that's what illustrations are for. >D) I look at some of the fics out there and read OC/senshi instead of General/Senshi *sigh*. Trouble of multiple versions &/or lack of canon. ._.; At least PGSM gives us stuff to go on. *pokes it*

2. Chibi-usa drives plot! >O Very much agreed!
3. I think in the animé the quartet were playing in the jungle and Zirconia or her servant showed them magic and promised them pretty baubles that more or less bought her their loyalty. They are more naive and misguided than anything in my opinion.
In the manga I think they were brainwashed and awoken from some sort of slumber merely to serve Zirconia... Basically puppets. *sigh* Where she managed to find them, I have no idea.
I guess the idea of child-vilains does send a negative message, though I guess it could be treated in a really interesting and challenging manner.
Either way, I don't think we get to see enough of them to give them any appeal beyond "cute" or "creepy".
