Oh the irony....
One more thing I've been thinking of that proves the guys never stopped being important to me....
I remember being in Borders in 2002 or 2003 (it must have been one of those, anyway, since the album went out of print after that and was re-released on an independent label in 2004) and seeing the Comfort and Joy album. I pulled it out and looked at it, and was bewildered. XD; I'm ashamed to say I didn't recognize Scott, because I wasn't good at recognizing people yet and I was used to seeing him with curly hair. (If his hair had been curly there, or if the picture had been bigger, I probably would have recognized him....) And I didn't recognize Elliott, either. But if I'd recognized that Scott and El were there, I probably would have bought the album then and there. I know I was considering it. And I can't help wondering what would have been different had I bought it then. XD It's pointless to wonder, but I'm still curious.
Another vivid memory I have is hearing them do the "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" thing on TV. I wasn't in the room, but Dad had it on and I heard it, and my thought process was something like, "Oh my gosh! It's them! ... What are they doing with the Carmen song? And who's Matt Lauer?"

I also remember seeing the CD marketed as the soundtrack to the show in the library around 2001, when I was just rediscovering the old Disney Afternoon shows. I wasn't ready to revisit the show itself at that time, so I didn't check it out. It's debatable whether I would have checked out a Rockapella CD not connected with the show around that time. But I know I would have looked at it. ♥
