This is a two and a half minute parody of The Twilight Zone, and judging from the host, One Step Beyond as well. It is fun and silly and wacky. And slightly creepy, of course. And I'm swooning and squeeing all over it.

Seriously, our main guest-star is *80* in this clip.

EIGHTY.

And he still has the same beautifully deep, rich voice from when he was thirty.

He certainly doesn't look eighty, either. He looks at least twenty years younger.

This man is remarkably well-preserved.

**glomps him!**

I lost it at, "Kiss the puppet!"

And yes, what a beautiful voice!

ROTFLOL. What a nutcase!

I could listen to H.M. Wynant read the phonebook and be perfectly enthralled.

It admittedly reminds me just a bit of the dead parrot Monty Python skit when the shopkeeper is trying to convince John Cleese that the parrot is just sleeping.

I could see that. Though my vote would be some Robert Frost.

LOL.

Well, if the choice was between Robert Frost and the phonebook, I'd rather hear him read Robert Frost too. ;) There's some radio plays he's done recently that I want to get hold of. One of them is a sci-fi version of Moby Dick. And it has Sean Astin playing the Ishmael character!

Oh, wow. I must get the DVD box set. Deep stuff, makes you think.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the Tales of the Pub series that this minisode comes from, or if you mean the show they're apparently parodying, The Twilight Zone. I can't comment on Pub, but I have watched some of The Twilight Zone. (H.M. is in an episode of that too, and he's done some of the radio dramas as well.) Some of the Twilight Zone episodes are just plain weird or creepy, but there have been some with some very deep stuff. It's overall a very well-done, well-thought-out show. :)

Here at the library, at last!

Yep, kept his voice like Christopher Lee did! Good parody too. Looks like the same stick....

Yay!

LOL. All the sticks in the bag probably look exactly alike.
