Merchandise woes
Ah, the agony of figuring out exactly what I want most to buy. It's especially difficult right now, because most of the stuff I want the very most I've bought now (awesome), is out of print, or is currently more expensive than I wanted to pay. I wanted to have this settled in the morning and hope that the package might actually reach me by my birthday at the end of the week, but I'm not sure what to think now that I've been quibbling for so long.
I learned of a new book all about the Mannix TV show and the character, so that immediately became my most-wanted grail. So I need to work around it to pick the rest of the stuff. Among the things I've seriously considered are: The Complete Riverboat (currently $19.79), part 2 of season 2 of Vega$, a Wagon Train DVD that includes the H.M. episode that is the happiest for his character, and the James West figure.
Things I would really like that are too much right now are Mannix season 3 (cheaper on eBay), the second half of season 9 of Perry (whyyyy is it only cheaper when I don't have money?! It's not fair!), and some of the old movies Richard was in during the early 1950s.
For some reason, I seem to seriously have my heart set on the Vega$ DVD. There's an excellent Joseph episode on it where he's the main guest star and is absolutely precious and adorable. There's also a Chrissy episode, but he doesn't have much screentime in it unless there's a missing scene with him that would be on the DVD. The version I saw cut about three or four minutes out of that episode, so it is conceivable that he might have had one more scene.
Getting the Mannix book and the Vega$ DVD set leaves about $8 or so on my gift cards, and it's very difficult to squeeze any of my other wants into that slot, unless I buy a Phoenix Wright or Miles Edgeworth manga, which is certainly a possibility. I'm trying to determine exactly how much I'm willing to spend aside from the gift cards, and I didn't want it to be too much; I was trying to save my cash for my shopping spree on my birthday. If I get the Wagon Train DVD too, then I'd need to pay about $6 in addition to the gift cards, which definitely ain't bad. But I can't decide if that's the combination of stuff I want the very most out of what's left and cheapest on my want list.
I really want to buy season 4 of Wagon Train sometime, since there's more than one episode I especially want, but it's way too expensive right now and maybe always will be, so the cheap DVD might be the only way I'd get to own the happy H.M. episode. Still, I hate buying that when there were other season 4 episodes I wanted too. **mushroom sigh.**
Then I keep wondering if I've for sure checked on everything I was thinking I wanted. I keep thinking I'm forgetting something, but I can't figure out what.
