GAAAH!
**pets her icon.** Aubrie made this of Zack some time ago, and I decided it was time to use it. X3 And! She's made the front and back covers for the Gin/Sherry fanmix. They're so awesomely perfect! I love them very much. ^^ **still needs to type in the new songs she wanted added.** I hope I remember them all. XD;
For over 30 hours, I've been trying to post chapter 2 of Loneliness of a God! FF.net is having one of its extreme spells of illness. It's so frustrating when it breaks down like this. -___-
Yesterday I somehow got a plunnie of Sora talking to Sephiroth. So I've been writing that while I'm waiting for FF.net to get over its hiccup. It's coming out quite interesting!
I have here a meme from FS, as well as an updated character list for FF7. My top ten stays about the same, I think, but the characters in the top five places play musical chairs a lot. XD
1. Sephiroth Yep, still Seph. I especially find his pre-Nibelheim self interesting to explore, as well as what I'm doing with him in T&D and S&M. And I won't deny it is fun to write for his insane side, as well. Aw, any Seph is fun to write. XD KH version included. Writing him sane, I usually portray him as serious and reserved, but willing to open up to Zack. And sometimes he plays along with Zack's wisecracks. He's more relaxed than most of the characters I write for who are aloof, and the KH Seph is even moreso. Though KH Seph has an underlying bitterness, same as his counterpart does during T&D and S&M.
2. Zack Fair **cuddles Zack.** He's one of those characters who one can't help but love, and even moreso when writing for him! I've become terribly attached. XD He's just so fun, and cheerful, and friendly, and amusing. And then he'll do downright adorable things like glomping Angeal for joy. And he's very opposed to any kind of injustice. He kinda reminds me of Sora in some ways, which is something KH Seph comments on in this oneshot I'm doing.
3. Cloud Strife He's so mixed up, both in the game and in the movie. It's very interesting for me writing him in T&D and S&M, because for a lot of it, his and Seph's roles kinda reverse. Cloud kinda loses it when he gets his memories back and ends up falling into his darkness, while Sephiroth is able to focus and move forward into the future. One thing I want to explore in the future is how he interacts with kids, because judging from things in AC, he seems to get along quite well with them and it's cute. X3
4. Reno I think. XD **has been focusing so much on the first three she isn't quite sure who has the last two spots right now.** He's a lot of fun, like Zack, but despite their easy-going personalities, they're pretty different. XD For instance, I just can't see Reno glomping anyone for joy (or for any reason). He seems more calmly laid-back. The way I write him, he likes to tease certain people, such as Yuffie. Getting them together is a disaster. But a fun one for the writer/reader!
5. Vincent Valentine As always, I adore his flat personality. XD And his ironic comments, like when he says to Reeve about the bazooka, "You really shouldn't leave those lying around." It's also a lot of fun to have him try to offer advice to Cloud. Maybe, since I'm going to leave out Seph in a coma in the final draft of T&D, I should redo the scene where Vincent talks to Cloud about Seph's predicament and use it in S&M, after Jenova encases Seph in stone.
Of course, Kadaj-tachi and Rude are still part of the top ten!
Aubrie sent me a song before she went to school, and I'm loving it. **is still listening to it.** X3 It makes me think of Gin/Sherry in some points, and other parts seem to scream Zack and Seph at Nibelheim, particularly this part:
Heave the silver, hollow silver
Piercing through another victim
Turn and tremble, be judgmental
Ignorant to all the symbols
1 - How did you start writing? When I was four or five, I'd dictate random stories to Mom and have her write them down. XD Then I learned to use WordPerfect when I was nine (and 6.1 is still the only version of WordPerfect that's worth anything!), and word processors have been good friends ever since.
2 - How did you choose your penname (and why)? Lucky Ladybug is a name I've had that dates back to when I was in the 4 Seasons email group. Everyone picked a song by the 4 Seasons to use in their signature, and I ended up picking that one. It's stuck ever since. XD I like it because it's just a cute, bouncy tune that gets stuck in your head even though it doesn't make much sense. "Ladybug, silver dollar, rabbit's foot, with a four-leaf clover and a horseshoe! Wishbone, shamrock's got me shook, singing Abracadabra in a cat's eye!"
3 - What was your first fanfiction? Probably the stuff about Kit and Molly I did, from the Talespin fandom. (Though what I wrote was an AU world.) I think I was around 7 or 8 then. And the first thing I wrote down with WordPerfect was a Kit and Molly story, though the plot was basically one Mom told me. XD She used to make up stories about the characters to tell me, in addition to the role-plays we did then with those characters.
Oh wait, I think my very first fanfic was either Beetlejuice or Darkwing Duck---again, something dictated to Mom when I was five or so. XD
4 - How do you write? (Without a draft, with a draft etc...) If I'm really concerned about something, I'll ask someone close to look it over for me. But mostly, I trust my judgement. XD I just write, use a Spellchecker (most of the time), and post. And when I want ideas to move plots along, I love bouncing ideas off of people I'm close to. ^^ A lot of my stories wouldn't have happened if not for them.
As for drafts, sometimes I have a basic outline in my head. And usually it changes before the story is anywhere near done. XD Mostly I just go with the flow. Sticking to a strict plan can narrow down ideas, at least for me.
5 - What's your favourite character/pairing? (Not the one who like to read about, but the one you like to write about.) Oooh, it varies from fandom to fandom. I've already answered the question for FF7 characters above. Though I'll add Kadaj-tachi to the list (especially Yazoo), and Rude. For Kingdom Hearts, definitely Sephiroth and Cloud. For DC, my fave characters are Gin, Vodka, and Sherry. And Ayumi. For YGO, it's usually Seto, Marik, and Alister (or the bikers as a whole, really). Pairings ... don't really have any for FF7, KH, or YGO. Oh, wait, I do like Zack/Aerith cuteness. XD But I doubt I could write a whole fic on only that. ^^; Of course I enjoy Gin/Sherry for DC.
6 - What genres are you writing for? Mostly drama and angst, with some good suspense thrown in for good measure. Occasionally I like writing humor, but only if the characters are kept IC.**thinks flat-out OOC humor is pointless.** I mean, it could be any characters at all, in that case!
7 - What's your favourite fanfic fandom (if you're only allowed to choose one)? Hmm.... To write for, at this moment, probably FF7.
8 - Why are you still writing (or have stopped)? Because it's my passion and I would go crazy if I couldn't write. XD
9 - When are you going to retire from writing fanfiction? Never, never!
10 - What do you plan to (would you like to) change in your writing style or working style? Hmm.... I wish I could get more detail into it again. ^^; I've been doing different styles. Sometimes more dialogue works. Sometimes more detail works. Sometimes third person works, sometimes first person works. I kinda don't want to write in just one style.
11 - What do you love (or hate) about writing fanfics? I love making up new stories for characters I feel close to and think of as friends. (Off-topic, but I love the note at the beginning of AC, the dedication one: "To those who loved this world, and knew friendly company therein, this Reunion is for you." Should I be scared that I memorized it without trying? XD)
12 - Are you going to write original stories some day? I do! Just not as much as I should. XD
13 - What are your plans for the next years )when it comes to fanfics)? Aw gosh.... I don't have any plans. And I don't want to try to give any, because that will probably jinx something.
14 - What would you like to add? (Something interesting you'd like to say and which I had not asked you about.) **shrugs.**

Hee, I love those favorite character meme thingies. What is it about the cast of FF7 that makes them so fun to psycho-analyze? And man, what is it about Zack? I don't think I've ever come across anyone who doesn't like him. XD
Neat writing meme. *will be ganking* X3 You know, your answer to #6 reminded me of something I read in a rant comm about OOC humor - the thing about 'crack' humor is, you don't just have the characters running around shouting about llamas and pants and cheese!!!1!eleventy! See, that's not what makes, say, Monty Python sketches funny - what makes those funny is, everybody is acting crazy except one person, and it's that one person's reactions that makes it funny. And I totally forgot where I was going with this. Oh well. XD
Oh yes, that AC dedication quote. X3 That pretty much sums up why I'm happy I went ahead and spent the money on/put up with the hassle of getting FF7. X3
Sorry, didn't mean to get so rambly. XD

**pets Zack's hair.** He's just adorable. XD
LOL. Yes, there must always be a straight man reacting to everything! **can't imagine where The Monkees would be without straight men for them to play off of.**
I must see if I can find the PC version of FF7. X3
