1. Are we talking chat-based RP, journal-based RP, a combination of both, neither (in which case I would have to wonder why you're filling out this meme in the first place)? If you've done both, do you have a preference? Chat-based is totally my favorite. I prefer one-on-one RPing to something with a big group, except in very rare occasions. There was a really great message-board based RP I was in, but real-life caught up with almost everyone else and it all died. ;__; **sniffle.** Even though we've tried to revive it several times, it's never really worked.

2. How did you get started roleplaying? I'm guessing it must have started when Mom and I would make up adventures with my action figures. Then I also had paper dolls of the characters that Mom made (both canon characters and OCs). Sometimes I'd want to continue the story while she was fixing Dad's food. I used to bring the figures into the kitchen, but that became impractical. XD; Also, I didn't have figures of all the characters we used. So we developed a vocal role-play, and we still do that now, even after we've stopped with the other ways.

Online, I tried to join an All Dogs Go to Heaven RP shortly after we got the Internet. It didn't end up working out, but I discovered the joys of one-on-one chat-RPing. X3

3. What fandoms have you roleplayed for? All Dogs Go to Heaven, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Detective Conan, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Megaman.EXE, Rurouni Kenshin (I was in the RP because a friend wanted me in it, and I tried Kaoru, but that was an EPIC. FAIL.).... One girl who used to want me to do RPs with her had us do all kinds of random convulted stuff, from Teen Titans to Harry Potter. Of course she always had to be the Mary Sue hero.... XD;;

4. Out of the characters you play most frequently, who is the easiest for you to play? Sephiroth and Zack are both amazingly easy for me, in general. I used to say I could really relate to playing Gin from Detective Conan because of his pride, and Sephiroth has that too, but he is a LOT more compatible to me than Gin is. XD;;; When he's sane, I mean. He's a warm and caring person, and honorable, but he can be so sarcastic/blunt. And playing Zack, I discovered, involves using a lot of the same tones I use when I'm writing casually in my LJ. Just more ... hyper sometimes. XD I see them sometimes as playing two different sides of my personality. And then Cloud would be another part, with his own brand of bluntness and always putting his foot in his mouth (mostly KH Cloud here). And the dorkiness...!

5. The hardest? Hmm.... Kaito Kuroba. XD; I play him using the base of the Zack-type character: friendly, a bit mischievous, but I have to give him his own voice and personality. Which might be easier to come forth if I would just read all of Magic Kaito. **has only read chapters here and there.** But I try to get in the various aspects of his character: the pervertedness, the hidden depth, his determination to find his father's killers, and how he sees himself and Kaitou Kid.

6. Your favorite? Probably a toss-up between Sephiroth and Zack. Then I have to determine *which* Sephiroth. XD; They're both so fascinating, but while FF7 Seph has much more of a weight on his shoulders and is often sad (in T&D era), KH Seph is so bitter and anti-heroish.

7. Do you create OCs for your roleplays? Depends on the RP. XD; There's really no need for them in the one with Lisa or the one with Kaze (except for ones previously created in my stories), but others, such as the RP with Mom and the one with Aubrie, thrive on OCs and I have quite a few for each. There's anthro animals in the one with Mom, as well as Vifa, who is probably human there (the original version was a skunk). Vifa has totally evolved, too. Instead of being a gold-digging murderess, she's still a gold-digger, but kinda helps the protagonists out and chats it up with one of them a lot. And there's the doppelganger race in the one with Aubrie. The idea of Alexander evolved into creating the entire race. Though Alexander was created previous to his introduction in the RP, the majority of doppelgangers were created for the RP.

8. The characters in your RP have just stumbled upon your RP logs/RP journal/they're reading an RP over your shoulder. What is their reaction? Sephiroth is appalled/annoyed that I play him in general. XD Zack is pretty cool with it. Cloud is ... probably grumpy. All of them are probably creeped out by all the hurt/comfort situations.

9. Any characters/fandoms you'd like to play that you haven't played before? I agree with Lisa, FFX/-2 would be fun to try! I'd like to see how Nooj would come out.

Ooh, I'm totally gonna do this! Though I haven't RPd nearly that much, so my list of characters is, like... tiny. XD

That's so cool that you RP with your mom!^^ My mom's into entirely different things, so I'd feel really weird trying to do something with her. XD

Wow, you've RPd for a lot of fandoms! All Dogs Go to Heaven would be really interesting, and so would Megaman and Rurouni Kenshin, though I know virtually nothing about those stories. XD And yeah, Mary Sues can be annoying!

Ooh, Kaito Kuroba sounds like a fascinating character! I'm gonna have to find the time to read more about him.^^

Megaman.EXE involves computer programs with personalities. LOL. It's an alternate version of the Megaman fandom, wherein he was originally a robot. I think whoever came up with said alternate version was a genius. XD And Rurouni Kenshin is a period anime. ^^ It takes place in the Meiji era, and follows a former assassin after the war. He's taken a vow to never kill again, and he uses a reverse-blade sword when fighting the people that threaten his loved ones and such. There's a bratty kid in it who drives me nuts, like child-Yuffie. XD; Also like child-Yuffie, though, he seems to mature and grow up later on (which I haven't personally seen yet).

Yeah, Kaito really is a fascinating and deep character! ^^ As Kaitou Kid, he's capable of lots of disguises and throwing his voice around, too.

I wondered how many characters to put down on #8. XD I went with my three favorites, because if I tried to put down everyone I RP, the list would go on forever.

**nodnod.** I hope I'd pull him off well. XD; I suppose one of the major differences between him and Seph would be his despair and wanting to die, though I'm not sure if he still feels that way now. And there was some other big difference I was thinking of, which I can't remember now. XD; He's definitely like Seph as far as sarcasm/bluntness goes, yet he's very much a different character otherwise.

Ooh. Megaman.EXE sounds really intriguing! Is that an anime? And Rurouni Kenshin sounds really interesting, too! I might have to check those out.^^

I think you'd pull him off just fine!^^ Hmm... Yeah, he's a lot like Seph, but so different, too. I think my powers of description are failing me, though, because I can't think of how to say he's different. XD I guess he doesn't seem quite as serious, and he came across as being somewhat more open to others than Seph is.

Yeah, it's an anime, as well as a manga, and a series of games. ^^ I like the anime the best as far as storylines go. The manga is ... strange. XD; I mostly like it for when my favorite character, Bass.EXE, shows up. His backstory is the best in the manga version, but I also like some of the elements the games brought in.

Rurouni Kenshin has a manga too, and a few OVAs. I'm kinda ticked at the OVAs, though, because to me they present the opposite message that the manga writer wanted. One of the main themes of both anime and manga is that dying avails nothing; to change what you've done, you have to live. The OVAs give the message that there's no peace until you're dead. At least that's how I see it. XD; Maybe that wasn't the intention.

**nodnod.** True, he does seem more open. ^^ Like Seph will only open up to Angeal and Genesis, and later Zack (and I can't help thinking he got closer to Zack than he ever did Angeal or Genesis), but Nooj seemed fairly open (or at least friendly) to Yuna and the other girls. And he may have slightly more of a sense of humor than Seph does. XD **ponders some more.**

I like that theme of the manga!^^ It seems odd that the OVAs would convey something opposite like that. I wonder if the original writer had much input in them? And if that wasn't the intention, they didn't seem to do a great job in showing it. XD

Yeah, I think Seph got closer to Zack, too.^^ It might have been that they suffered a common loss, but I'll bet Zack's personality had a lot to do with it. And they've been through so much together, too.

**nods** Yeah, he did seem to have more of a sense of humor! **remembers the "Our wills" joke.** I'm not sure Seph would have said something like that! Though it would be awesome if he did, if completely unexpected. XD

I don't think the manga writer had much, if any, input in the OVAs, because he mentioned something about being disappointed with the ending and that he imagined the character to live to a good old age. And I don't blame him for not feeling happy with it. XD; Totally aside from seeming to give a different message, I don't think I'd like someone killing off a character of mine. Heck, I don't like it when writers decide to totally change characters of mine. Somebody decided to make Dr. Portman turn good and have Rishid fall in love with her. **anime fall.** XD;; I still can't comprehend it. It's different with Seph, since in canon he has been shown to have been very good, so I don't think I'm doing anything messed up there. (Plus, the creator said he pretty much doesn't care what the fans do.) I think Portman probably always had some screws loose.

**nodnod.** There must have been a lot left unsaid in the game. I can't somehow imagine Seph giving Zack such a fond look if they hadn't been through a lot more than the game showed. X3

If Seph made a joke like that, he probably would deliver it with a lot more sarcasm. XD

You mean Dr. Portman as in the crazy-doctor-that-likes-to-mess-with-people's-heads-Dr. Portman? Yikes! I totally cannot see that happening, and I don't even know all that much about her. XD That's like saying Hojo suddenly became good (which is, like, impossible in the first place XD) and... someone... falling in love with him. And I don't even know who that would be because it's too awful to think of. XD

But I definitely know the feeling! Someone totally messed up one of my characters during an RPG and I hated it. XD I mean, I don't mind someone using my characters at all, but they ought to be done right! And people should really ask if they're going to change something really big like what they did to Dr. Portman.

And yeah, I agree that Seph's different because it's not like you're changing who he is. It's more like that you're just continuing his story.^^

**nods** That's true! They should totally make an add-on to the game with additional missions for Seph and Zack. But still with enough time left uncovered so all your stories can fit in, of course.^^

Yeah! I was so creeped out. XD At least she hadn't published the thing, and it was mostly for her own personal use. And I figure I don't really have the right to tell her she can't write what she wants for her personal use. Though if she were to publish it, I'd probably put up a notice that I was not involved in any way. She did actually want me to use the idea, I think, because it was a continuation of a story I stalled on (and I don't think I'll ever finish it). I flat-out told her No. She wanted Yami Marik to be a good guy, too. Like that would ever happen.

**nodnod.** I remember you telling me about that time in the RP! That's so inconsiderate!

I wonder if there are any missions like that. XD There are supposed to be a whole bunch.

**nods** Yeah, I suppose there's not much you can do if it's just for personal use. I guess that's not so bad, but I think I'd still be a bit upset. XD It's good that she hasn't published it, though I'd think that if she wanted to, she should definitely ask permission. And I definitely don't blame you for not using the idea yourself! I can't even think of how either Dr. Portman or Yami Marik would ever become good. It doesn't fit them at all.

XD; The story was basically Bandit Keith after Marik for revenge, and some really messed-up thing about Mr. Ishtar having abused Marik in the past. **headdesk.** Sometimes I wonder what was going through my brain when I wrote certain stuff.

XD. It happens! There were some pretty awful stories that I once wrote, too. I think they disappeared into one of the computers along the way, and I can't say that I miss them. XD Really, some of the things I was thinking... **shakes head**

Even so, changing the main plot of the story is really ridiculous! It sounds like it would end up focusing more on Dr. Portman and Rishid than Bandit Keith and Marik. Honestly, what's the point of making a suggestion like that? It doesn't seem like it would help much at all, even if you had been interested in changing the characters so much. XD

XD Yep! Then there was a h/c fic totally involving Seto being struck by a reindeer. **siiigh.**

The Bandit Keith angle could have been interesting, but I had no idea where to take it. XD; I don't recall planning that Portman would be involved at all, or maybe she was. **ponders.** I've wanted to just take that story down, but it's rather well-liked by reviewers, so I've left it there for them.

Well, it's good that the story's liked!^^ It's too bad that you couldn't pursue that angle, but that happens. I think just about every somewhat major story I wrote went unfinished until just recently, when I started posting things. XD

It happened because someone wrote a parody of Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer with Seto, and it somehow ended up becoming a running gag in my Christmas fics. XD The h/c sidestory never did get finished, though. I think it worked better as a random joke in something bigger.
