WEDDING. And song musings!

First, I finally picked one of Lisa's Cloud icons. ^^ I didn't like only having Cloud in the icon with Zack and none of him by himself, since he's one of my three favorite characters.

Today was my niece's wedding, and this is probably the only time I'll say this expression in this way but ... OH. MY. GOSH. The groom is an FF7 nut. Seriously. He was dressed as Cloud! I can hardly wait to get pictures. X3 When we went in to the reception room and I saw him it was absolute disbelief/excitement/SQUEE. And I didn't realize he was the groom at first, but I'm amused that I came to that conclusion before any indication of that was given. Seriously. **bounces.** We chatted a bit, and I talked to my brother-in-law too and found out he's also familiar with the games/characters. He's not an obsessee too, but he definitely knows his stuff and it was much fun.

Randomly, I found a blue feather fan at Dollar Tree and I adore it. X3 The feathers are close to being royal blue, so I think of KH Sephiroth. And it feels so wonderfully soft to run it over my face.

And I listened to The Heart of Everything on the drive up and familiarized myself better with the songs. I think I'm ready to do a type-up on what each song gives me an image of. X3

The Howling I think I originally got an image of the Black Org for this, but now it's just something general: criminals being hunted by the police with their dogs. Or maybe two opposing armies searching for each other and the more aggressive side using the dogs and hunting down the others. Very vague images, but I really like them. Could be future fic material here!

What Have You Done? Original image still stands: Zack and Cloud fighting Sephiroth, hands-down. It's so saaad, thinking of that! ;___; Especially when listening to the verses. Do you mind if I hurt/kill you? Understand that I need to....

Frozen I know not all the lyrics fit, but the image that insists on remaining is from my story Sunrise and Midnight, Sephiroth frozen in stone while Cloud flips out about it. I can't feel my senses.... I just feel the cold.... You won't forgive me....

I also like what was probably meant by the song, someone coming across as/being cold and closed-off, but sacrificing life/love/something for someone cared about. I get both interpretations simultaneously. And blend them.

Our Solemn Hour I still don't have a really concrete image for this one yet, kind of a general thing with a grave situation. The opening radio broadcast in the background always makes me think of WWII. Or perhaps FF7 with Meteor looming. It certainly sounds like it could fit. X3 The second verse especially intrigues me, because it makes me think of how Gaia is so filled with selfish people, and how the Shinra company directly or indirectly brought about all the calamities, like with Hojo's experimenting.

The Heart of Everything Again, original image still remains. The verses are Sephiroth in his madness, and the chorus is Zack and Cloud answering, pleading, trying to get through to him.

Hand of Sorrow My original image for this one was Gin, and Gin/Sherry. But ever since Aubrie mused on it being about L from Death Note, I've been thinking of it in that way. X3 It's terribly intriguing.

The Cross I think the original image for this is still there. This is a Gin/Sherry song to me. I'm trying to decide who's narrating/speaking. It definitely sounds like Sherry, and that was my first thought, yet some of it could work for Gin, too. Each one is accusing the other of being cold and closed off and denying the truth of how they aren't there when needed to help bear the burdens. Though in the end, it still sounds more like Sherry.

Final Destination Sephiroth in his madness, trying to break free. Seriously. Also, Marik fighting Yami Marik. **nods.** I saw #23 of YGO Duelist at FYE and it was AWESOME. **would have bought it, but the only copy was bent.**

All I Need Not all the lyrics fit, but I get an image of events during Loneliness of a God/T&D, and Sephiroth is still fighting his madness. This time, he's talking to Zack about it/thinking to himself as if he's talking to Zack and hoping that Zack won't leave him alone. I especially think of when he finally broke through in Loneliness and saved Zack, and Zack embraced him and welcomed him back. Reading over the lyrics more, I also see Marik to Rishid.

Here, the American release randomly inserted Stand My Ground. I suppose it's because it was the first American single, but it looks out of place here. It should have been at the end, after the extended What Have You Done.

The Truth Beneath the Rose This is a more general image ... something of a fallen crusader having second thoughts about what he's done and how he's done it. Though I wonder if it could fit Dartz ... ?

Forgiven Another general song ... something of someone very sad because her love has left her, either in death/suicide or by falling into the darkness, and how she still cares. It really sounds like it's supposed to be romantic in nature, but ignoring the lines "love you so it hurts my soul" and moreso "you'll always be mine", it also sounds like Zack (either FF7 or my KH version) speaking to Sephiroth.

That is so cool about the wedding! I think it's just great that someone loves FF7 so much that he'd dress up as one of the characters for his own wedding.^^

Ooh, those feathers sound really nice!^^

Oh, those songs are really sad! I'm amazed at how so many of them seem to really fit Seph & company. I particularly like the lyrics to All I Need, Forgiven, and What Have You Done?, though the last two are really sad. I'd also be really interested in hearing Our Solemn Hour - it really does sound like Meteor coming, and I'm curious about how the radio broadcast is worked into it.

XD I was considering joking "You'd better hope Sephiroth doesn't crash the wedding", but I didn't get that far. It would have been amusing, though ... especially if someone had dressed as Seph during the reception and barged in.

**strokes feathers.** X3

Those songs are definitely among my favorites too! What Have You Done? is included among the songs for my Cloud & Seph mix, and I think The Heart of Everything is, as well. I love how the radio broadcast thing is in Our Solemn Hour. ^^
