Writer's Block: Sheldon and Penny 4ever!

Fanfiction will rule the world, baby.

I was writing fanfiction before I even knew what it was. I dictated silly stuff to Mom and she wrote it down. I remember concocting odd little things about Beetlejuice (TV version) and Darkwing Duck. I was about five then.

My love of it never waned. I wrote stories with the Talespin characters for years. When I got online in 1998 and discovered other people wrote stories too, it was Heaven.

Fanfictions, when well-written, are a treasure trove of new adventures for characters loved and admired and a way to study them out and see into their minds in ways the canon material sometimes doesn't show.

I am still thoroughly enthralled with fanfiction and expect that to continue without end.

Fanfiction forever! I need to answer this question, too. XD

I totally agree with new adventures for characters and studying them. And not to mention their relationships with characters.

And then there's correcting the obvious mistakes that canon made **points to lack of Mai's repentance, though that was more the fault of the animators, since it didn't happen in the original manga**

Relations and interacting with other characters is love.

They may have been on a schedule with a set list of episodes and there just wasn't time for it, but it was definitely a disappointment to not get some closure for Mai and Joey after Doom.

I completely agree with you on fan fiction!

Such a marvelous invention! I think it was Star Trek that first made it popular. (Or maybe I'm thinking of the beginning of slash. LOL.)

Yeah, I believe it was ST. And then...here we are. Wow...! (Ha, ha, too true.)

LOL @ your first comment. XD

I totally agree! Fanfiction is a way to continue the story that you wish never ended, and it lets you learn more about the characters than might have been told in the official stories! X3

I only discovered fanfiction when I started college, though. XD ....Not quite sure how I discovered it, actually, though I'm pretty sure the first site was FF.net. Though I do remember that one of the very first fanfics I read was on someone's personal site, and it was about Vincent and someone who I believe was a clone of Aerith. XD

[identity profile] insaneladybug.livejournal.com 2010-05-13 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yep!

LOL.

A literal clone or just someone who acted like a carbon copy of her?

[identity profile] cskazaam.livejournal.com 2010-05-13 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
LOL. A literal clone. I think she'd escaped from a lab in that fic. At the time, Vincent was my favorite character, which is why I read it. It was actually a really intense fic, and I thought it worked very well at the time.... Vincent eventually fell in love with her, and since she was just a clone and not the real Aerith, I decided I didn't mind all that much. XD

Interesting. XD And yeah, being a clone does make a difference.

Wow, you are obsessed. XD

I enjoy writing it from time to time.

Yes, and I'm proud of it. Buwahaha.

*stares ... XD

You can be. :P It's impressive to be able to do one thing with such a passion for such a long time.
