I now have chapter eight of Candy Clouds finished. ^^ I'm quite pleased with it. There's a conversation between two of the villians, which isn't something I usually do, and Valon's frustrated because he's all mixed up. I decided not to have him end up completely brainwashed, as originally planned. Instead he's really confused and is having trouble sorting out what's real and what's not.
And we've almost seen all of season 2 of the X-Files now. ^^ Overall, I like season 1 better, but my current favorite episode, One Breath, is from season 2. It was so awesome. XD It played out like one of my stories. So much hurt/comfort, and supernaturalness, and friendship cuteness....
Let's see. . . . If I were to pick my favorite episodes so far, they would probably be:
-The Pilot
-Shadows (Haunted?)
-Beyond the Sea
-The Erlenmeyer Flask
-One Breath
Annnd something else that I'm forgetting. XD;
One thing I absolutely adore about the X-Files is that it has heart, and meaningful characters. Over time you really get attached to those characters. I think Chris Carter was pretty arrogant to think that the X-Files could just go on and be a smash-hit no matter who was starring in it. The show finally failed after nine seasons because of changes in the main cast. It seemed like it ended on a rather depressing note, too, from what I've heard.
I do have a question, though: Who on the writing team is the big Scully h/c fan? XD She has gotten into so much trouble in season 2. It seems like they can't get enough of putting her in danger. Does that continue into other seasons as well? It seems to me that the situations should be spread evenly between her and Mulder. Maybe there were lots of incidents of Scully in danger from season 1 as well, but it didn't seem as noticeable. XD; After her abduction experience in season 2, it seems that having her get into more trouble almost immediately is overkill.
And another question: What were the writers on when they wrote some of those? XD The last episode we saw last night was the one where they were on the ship stuck in the "time warp." That episode was definitely WTH material. And I don't even get how the doctors got them back to normal! Nothing made sense in that one. -.-; Oh how I despise things where people are forced unnaturally into something like aging.
