Writing Fics ^___^

One of my all-time passions! ^^ I dunno where I'd be without writing as an outlet. It's the best way I can express myself. That, and drawing.

I wonder why I'm such a hurt/comfort nut. . . . I've often pondered over it. I swear, I've been this way since I was at least five XD After at last meeting others like myself after thinking I was a loner for years, I finally came to a semi-conclusion. Perhaps I like h/c because it's kinda cute to see the victim there helpless and to see the others' reactions to his predicament. "Fluffiness", in other words. Like, I don't actually *like* them being hurt, but in order to get the fluffiness, angst must come first. And it's so sweet to see the loved ones fussing over the victim ^__^ I dunno. . . . I'm probably not making much sense . . . but at any rate, I don't consider myself a sadist XD

Right now I've just started my second Christmas special =3 I'm very excited! ^___^ I have many ideas for it ^^ I even wrote up a later scene right now XD Sometimes I do that if I can't wait to see how the scene comes out. Then I insert it into the fic in its proper place ^___^ I luv doing that. I don't wanna give anything away, but let's just say the two mean boys Brandon and Taylor are gonna cause a lot more pain and sadness ;__;

LOL, I just realized that Taylor's original name was Tom. Oh dear. XD I could change it to Tom in the new fic, but I don't wanna ^__~ Maybe he has both names? **thinks.** Taylor Thomas. Naw, that makes me think of Jonathan XD Thomas Taylor. Well, if I do give him both names (instead of changing one or the other), that's the way I'd do it. Yep. **nods**

I'm also finally working more on Family Ties, a fic I started last month as a one-shot or a prologue to something bigger. After getting positive reactions, I've at last been able to come up with more XD The new chapter I've done for it is really dark. Marik gets into quite a horrible predicament @@ Thank goodness he's able to get out of it! But now the poor thing's traumatized. ;__; But Rishid is there to comfort him! ^^ Sibling cutenes!! Awww! ^__^ And Ishizu is in trouble now. Poor woman. Marik and Rishid are gonna havta turn to a couple of other friends to help them rescue her! I'm also planning to write a scene ahead of time for this one, for something towards the climax (whenever that shall be. I dunno how long this fic will wind up being XD ). One thing is for sure, it's gonna be one of my angstiest pieces yet. I shall leave it up to y'all to decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing ^__~

In other current fic projects: The infamous "motorcyle" fic. Still don't have a name for it XD It tells about the events of a certain stormy night when Marik risks his life to warn the others of danger and what happens when he does. I luv the durned thing; I just wish I could finish it! XD

I also have an unfinished fic where Bakura becomes very ill and Yami B is the only one who can save him; one that was kind of a tack-on to the early episode Scars of Defeat to help me cope with it XD LOL (I probably won't finish that one); and oh, let's see. . . . There's some non-YGO stuff I was working on too. Stuff from the Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Darkwing Duck, Sonic the Hedgehog, and All Dogs Go to Heaven fandoms. I may even still have old stuff about The Monkees, Lord of the Rings (oh wait, I KNOW I have something unfinished for that fandom!), Diagnosis Murder, Gomer Pyle, and DuckTales. I'll havta look into all that ^__~ LOL There's that one Mega crossover I was doing. . . . I stalled on that one about two or three years ago. LOL. Oh yeah . . . and then there's the two collaborations I was doing. . . . Hmm. . . . Oh dear. . . . I SO need to get the next chapter of No Escape finished! XD LOL Those poor people waiting for it. . . .

I shall get back to writing Family Ties now and stop this current ramble ^__^ I'm luvin' how it's coming along =3 (The fic, not the ramble. Though I don't mind how the ramble came out either ^__~ )

Plushies, Cartoons, and Other Things

Whee. I shall ramble on whatever is on my mind at the time. Today I've been thinking about plushies and the recent flock of good cartoons, both American and Japanese.

I think it's really awesome how lately it's become cool for everyone to like cartoons ^^ It used to be seen as strictly a "little kid" thing. Now, more and more people are admitting to having a luv of animation.

I remember back in 2001 when I started rediscovering the old cartoons I'd adored: Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, and TaleSpin in particular. Ahh . . . that was a fun time. . . . And then later that year I rediscovered Sonic the Hedgehog. I dunno . . . I think in a way, all of that may have paved the way for me to agree to watch The Powerpuff Girls on the WB, where I then found YuGiOh ^___^ I might not have done that if I'd been of the mind of animation being for young'uns. LOL. Maybe I would have, though, since JP recommended the PPG so highly. XD, I wound up liking YuGiOh a million times more XD It's more the kind of show I like, both in plot and in animation ^^

Along the same lines, it seems to be not so much of a "little kid" thing anymore to enjoy plushies ^___^ I think that's really neat! I've always loved to collect them, and I'll probably just continue on doing so because I want to. I never cared if someone thought I was immature for doing it XD And I don't care now what anyone thinks about me watching cartoons XD Most people in my neighborhood are of the mindset that they're for young'uns. Thank goodness I've seen different! XD!

I always do pretty much whatever I please. I don't just change my views because someone else thinks I should.

That, I suppose, brings us to dubbed animés. I think they're great! ^__^ It's kewl to have them speak English, and I always enjoy the voices they pick XD I do get a bit upset when they change some things (like what the dub did when they changed Marik's past and the reason why he didn't want the tattoos), but I'm not gonna sit here and yell about it XD There's other things that upset me way more than that! **shrug.** Everyone has access to learning the full story of Marik's past (or any of the other things that were changed). Many can even watch it. No need to pull our hair out because the dub changed things XD Just sit back and enjoy both versions of the show! ^___^
