YGO manga!
Oct. 19th, 2005 03:38 amOn our outing earlier, I picked up YGO volumes 3 and 9 of the Duelist version. (I wish they hadn't started over with the numbering system!) 3 had some cool moments (most involving Seto), but in general I still prefer the anime versions of those events. ^^; (Well, except for the missing event that wasn't in the anime at all, where Seto fought the bad guys on the helicopter.) But volume 9 . . . oh wow. Where to begin? It was AWESOME. ( Lots of spoilers for those who don't want them )
I finally fixed chapter 4 of Candy Clouds! I'm working on writing the rest of the chapter now. I also decided to change the song. I still want to use End of All Hope, but especially now that I'm not using schizo-Dartz, the song doesn't fit as good yet. I want to use it later, towards the climax. For chapter 4, I switched the song to Never-Ending Story by Within Temptation, one that I've been planning to use for some time. ^^ Of course, I can't release the song versions on FF.net, but I still think the story needs the songs to be complete. I'll find somewhere else to publish the song versions (probably in Aubrie's music and anime club). I don't really like any of the other fanfiction websites. Face it, FF.net is a dictatorship, but at least people there are active and review! XD; I've tried about three other fiction sites and I haven't had luck with any of them.
I also saw Hellsing #7 when we were out! I was surprised, as I thought it wasn't coming out till December. Schrodinger's in it, a little bit. X3 Poor Seras, though. And Pip. . . . **pats them.** You know, it's scary how much Seras and Schro look alike. XD; I was skimming through the volume (since I haven't read #6 yet) and at several places I thought I was looking at Schrodinger only to realize it was Seras when I took a closer look. I'm sure the author didn't mean anything by it, knowing him, but I prefer to create a reason for the resemblance.
And in the masquerade RP I'm in, Musketeer has been dancing with Sora from Kaleido Star (who I suspect is Téa). XD It's quite amusing. Musketeer has been deliberately dropping hints to his identity, because he's trying to determine who she is, and she's getting the hints. XD Also, the main RP has picked up again and everyone's finally on their way to Egypt! (Some have already arrived.) And oh! I just remembered that I need to send a PM concerning future plot ideas. **goes to do this.** Man, I love that group of people. ^^ We're all relaxed and ready for good, in-character RPing. We know how to do filler stuff and make it fun. And the RPs can get intense too! Everyone plays their characters so well. It's like a true continuation of the YGO episodes. (Everything takes place after episode #224.)
EDIT: I went back on Wikipedia looking for certain stuff relating to Norse mythology. XD Somehow I ended up here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What%27s_Opera%2C_Doc%3F LOL. That sounds hilarious. I remember Aubrie talking about it, but I never realized that it was parodying the Ring Cycle before. I may not like the Looney Tunes violence, but some of the dialogue is just hilarious, and I always loved the characters.
