Ahhh, Christmas was awesome. X3 My brother, his wife, and their son came over for a bit and they opened their presents. Then we opened a couple more and then Dad had to leave to take a shift watching his mother (my only living grandparent), because she's really not feeling well and needs someone there around the clock. So Mom and I played the Jim Nabors Christmas album I got her and then I introduced her to The Forgotten Carols, which I love so much.
One of my aunts on Mom's side and my uncle came over. ^^ This aunt is the one who especially is always praising my singing and such, so I did a little Christmas concert. XD I was very pleased, too, because it was a good day for my voice and I managed to hit a high G note.
Dad came back while they were here, and we visited a while. Then when they left, we did the rest of the presents and had our Christmas dinner. All in all, it was an awesome day.
My gifts are as follows:
--A beautiful handmade, personal, and one-of-a-kind bracelet/necklace and the YGO card Embodiment of Apophis from Aubrie
--The book Persecution by David Limbaugh from JP
--A plastic keychain from Lisa
--A Best Buy gift card for $15 from my brother and sister-in-law
--Three books from my aunt and uncle. I forgot the authors' names, but the books are Forever Kate, Winter's Promise, and Lost Without You. They're all by local authors. ^^ Oh yeah, and they gave me $20 too!
--Some cute 3D glasses that show images of angels around Christmas lights (or any light that's in the distance) from a neighborhood friend
Stacey's present hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully it shall come today! ^^
From Mom and Dad:
--The Star Wars trilogy of books that Timothy Zahn wrote: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command
--Labyrinth of Evil, the prequel to Episode III, by James Luceno
--Enya's new album Amarantine (which I think is her best yet, even topping my favorite The Memory of Tress! It was worth the wait.)
--Cherie Call's latest album, Beneath These Stars. She's a local artist, and she's my absolute favorite of all the ones I've heard.
--The Return of the Jedi soundtrack, so now my collection of Star Wars music is complete!
--A cute little white kitty plush
--Yu-Gi-Oh Pharaoh's Memory #2
--Megaman #9
--Gundam W, Operation 10
--Kitty calender
--A DVD about cats
Specifically from Mom:
--A lovely white sweater, which kinda looks like shawl material
--A blue sweater with an attached scarf type thing
--Black pants (which I was desperately in need of!)
You know, I was so happy with everything that I forgot until just now that I didn't get the Rurouni Kenshin Profile book. XD Oh well, I can pick it up soon.
The Enya album is absolutely awesome. I saw a review for it that said it was typical Enya, but I don't know what typical Enya is supposed to mean. XD She tries different and new things on every album! On this one she does a song in Japanese, and three in a language that her lyricist Roma Ryan created. All the rest are in English, and there's some beautiful ones that I can use for Candy Clouds! Also, there was at least one song where she sang without the echo effect. Very interesting, indeed!
