Nov. 19th, 2006 12:05 amAhh, I am continuing to enjoy the RP with Aubrie, and all the lovely character development. Throughout all the years we've been doing this RP, there's been a lot of character development and relationship development, including:
- Yaminah and Duke's friendship, which has evolved probably about the most of any. ^^ The arc where they were trapped in the snowy place and Duke was delirious was great. XD So amusing, especially when she had to kiss him to silence him. That was still when their relationship was pretty rocky. But then it developed to the point where they started hanging out, and eventually Yaminah tried to help him against his father's return.
- Yaminah and Seto's friendship really has grown as well. Throughout the years they've worked together, Seto's loosened up a bit and even laughed a couple of times, though I know that's hard to imagine. XD
- And Seto has developed a lot to come to the point where he has the relationship with Tazi, which came about after they were friends for a long time. He's still aloof, and cold, and matter-of-fact, but he's softened a bit.
- Tazi herself has gone through so many changes. She was such a brat at first! Then she became more likable, but physically weak. I think Khu's criticism is what pushed her a lot to pursue her fighting skills.
- Alexander has not only developed, but inspired the entire doppelganger race! XD I really liked his reaction to the whole thing with Eostre; it seemed to bring him full-circle, showing his continuing innocence, but also how he has grown and learned from his past mistakes.
- Alchflaed and Abracham's friendship. There's so many different aspects to it. X3 I've loved watching it develop, especially some of their first meetings, and the scene at the train station.
- Alchflaed and the Big Man's relationship. It's especially interesting since neither one really fully understands what they're doing or what they're feeling. The Big Man fools around a lot, but he hasn't actually had a relationship since that girl in his youth so long ago.
- Gin, and his various relationships with people. In developing his character, I wanted him to still possess his cold, twisted personality while being forced to admit that there are at least two people who are extremely important to him: Sherry and Vodka. While he tries to work out his feelings, he experiences varying degrees of desperate, and often selfish, behavior, and he's coming to the realization that he can't let them go, which alternately confuses, exasperates, and annoys him. Though he's embracing the idea of a life with Sherry away from the Black Org, and since he and Vodka are now considered traitors anyway, he's taken steps to try to ensure it will happen, and he's ready and willing to eliminate any threat in his way, be it Brandy, Jenever, or Yaminah (when she's delirious and shooting magic). He's probably my favorite character to tinker with at the moment,which is why he gets the longest paragraph.
- Vodka. X3 Watching him become bold enough and brave enough to actually punch Gin to try to help him break Jenever's control over him was such a thrill. He's such a mystery, since we rarely see any glimpse into his thoughts, and he's so fascinating. And adorable. XD
- Yaminah and Vermouth's friendship. It's interesting since neither one really tends to pal around with a lot of people, and both of them tend to hang around men more than women. But their personalities match so well. I love it when they start teasing Gin and Vodka. XD And Vermouth's finally gotten to the point where she's somewhat admitted her unrequited love for Gin to Yaminah.
And I was thinking about much I liked Dark Bloom on Winx Club, and I've been toying with something where Alister's dark side is unleashed. And not because of the Orichalcos or something; it's just something that happens due to his anger and bitterness over something. Dark Alister would be a formidable opponent. XD; I have to admit, I've been intrigued by that persona ever since I wrote The Darkness Within and drew the accompanying picture. My only question is, What would cause him to flip out? XD;

Speaking of Winx Club, while season 3's plot is excellent, I'm unhappy with the way it's being executed! There's so much OOCness it's headache-inducing. And it would have to be from Musa and Layla, too, my favorites since season 2. Though Bloom is great this season and I'm pleased about that because she was my first favorite. X3
