I have been eating and breathing Another Simple Mission, for the past two weeks or so. XD Another chapter, and maybe an epilogue, and it should be done! **pets it.**
Just a Simple Mission rushed by in about a week and a half, I think, and boy was that an intense week and a half. XD Fun, though! I want to take more time with this sequel. Though chapters have been going up almost every other day. Sometimes every third day.
After much pondering and much tweaking, chapter 7 of ASM is finally done! I finally decided to remove a couple of paragraphs. (Lisa, you know which ones I mean. ^^) And! An old plunnie came back to me! I have always wanted to write a fic for the prompt "Hole" where Seph and Zack fall into a hole. Then I started thinking of a fic idea where they go somewhere to investigate seemingly outrageous claims by villagers that the installment of a mako reactor is angering their gods. I even thought of a title: Raise Your Hands to Heaven.Of course, that got the song stuck in my head. So, those paragraphs are going to be in that fic, where they won't be out of place at all, and I can go more deeply into their discussion. X3 The hole thing will be in that fic, too.
I've been thinking off and on of a fic (probably another LJ-exclusive fic) that would take place post-S&M, and bring Maryn back. She would probably be about 16 then. I imagine her to be pursued by lovesick boys a lot, but she would not be a flirtatious person, and though she would be touched by their interest, she would not return their feelings. I'm just not sure what the plot of such a fic would be, but it would be fun to get post-S&M Seph and Zack involved in a case that brought back some of the ghosts of the previous two mysteries concerning Maryn and Dismal characters. I wonder if Dalton would still be alive, or if he would have been killed during Meteor or before that.
I finally decided to bring the KH Seph into the RP with Aubrie. There are other alternate dimension characters who have become semi-regulars, namely alter Duke/Yoshi and alter Yaminah/Mina, so I thought, Why not. And I pinpointed more of the difference between the way I write/RP KH Seph and FF7 Seph. Joey and Tristan were following KH Seph and he discovered it and got irritated, then he was feeling somewhat sadistic and decided to tease them. So he acted intimidating and then brought out a flame and acted like he was going to torch them. FF7 Seph probably would have stayed at the looking intimidating level, though an insane FF7 Seph might have just run them through, or threatened them with the sword, at least. I don't see a sane FF7 Seph even doing the threatening bit. XD
And I finally decided to download Firefox 2 because the browser has been making me want to scream for the past weeks. It's too soon to tell if the updated browser will do the same thing, but the new spell check feature is both annoying and interesting. Spell check in general is nice, but I've never been a big fan of the red lines. One interesting thing I just noticed is that "FF7" is not called into question. Gamer geek designing the spell check?Of course, if so, that would bring into question why "Sephiroth" is called out. LOL.
Was at Wal-Mart earlier, noticed the box sets for the first two seasons of Gomer Pyle. It irritated me to see a notice saying that the theme music was not used on some episodes, and that some episodes were the edited versions from TV. WTH? Isn't the purpose of the box sets so that we can have unedited stuff? Makes me wonder if buying the sets would be worth it, or if it would be exactly the same as the episodes I recorded off TV.Of course, having DVD copies would be wonderful in any case, but if I'm not getting new footage, then I must prioritize.
I also saw the box set of the Christy TV series from the mid-90s. The girl on the cover made me blink. XD; She isn't Christy to me, though that probably sounds like blaspheme to most fans. But I was introduced to the fandom through the TV movies PAX did later on, with a mostly different cast, and I honestly can't picture other actors playing the characters. ^^;That might also be because the TV movie Christy reminded me a lot of one of my best friends at the time.
Also, I've been somewhat iffy on the second Darkwing Duck box set, as I thought the episodes included would mostly be ones I didn't like/was indifferent to, with only a couple of exceptions. Then I went to tvshowsondvd.com and found what seems to be the official episode lineup! And a lot of really good ones are included, even Twin Beaks, the ultimate episode of weirdness! XD I love that freaky, bizarre episode, with Bushroot dying (twice), the Twin Beaks mountains (a parody of Twin Peaks, of course), the mutant cabbage body-snatchers/cloners, and the cows who are not what they seem! I didn't think Twin Beaks would make it till the third set, so I hope this is true! (I think you might like/be amused by that one, Aubrie, because of its sheer oddness. XD)
