Mar. 28th, 2008 06:44 pmIt's out! **hugs Crisis Core!** The Seph and Zack interaction is wonderful and amazing! X3 George Newbern plays Seph to perfection, as always. Squee! He sounds so fond of Zack when they talk on the phone in chapter 4. My only complaint is that they changed Zack's line from "You're the best!" to "EXCELLENT! ... Probably!" No comparison! ;__;
I finally picked up the strategy guide. Stores were lazy last week and didn't have it when it was released. **pets it.** Gorgeous artwork, even some concept and production art in the back, and a fold-out Zack poster thing. X3 Various trivia, character profiles, and of course, the detailed walkthrough, mission, materia, and enemy guides, and other cool stuff. X3CC scrapbook!
Of course, in any guide like this, there's always some inaccuracy. Thankfully I haven't found too much, but they have a pic of Seph and Zack captioned from chapter 4 that says "Sephiroth doesn't share Zack's excitement about their first assignment together." First, the picture showed their second mission, and second, neither of them were very happy! They had been ordered to kill Angeal and Genesis! As far as how Seph feels to work with Zack, well, check it out yourself and see what you think. I think canon screams loud and clear that Seph is quite at ease with Zack. I highly doubt he would have opened up to just anybody the way he does repeatedly with Zack in chapter 4. X3
It's still somewhat hard to believe it's really here. I've been following its progress for over a year now. And I remember how exhilarating it was when it finally came out in Japan. Now it's here, in English and everything! **cartwheels.**
I'd wanted to finish a fic in commemoration of the release, but it wasn't anywhere near done on Tuesday. XD;; I just finished it this morning. I thought it was probably 5,000 to 6,000 words, possibly 7,000 ... and then I get it on FF.net and it says 11,977 words. .___. I'm a terrible judge of story length. XD;
The other day I had a very strange dream. It involved my God Help the Outcasts fic, only it had a very very different, somewhat Touched by an Angel-ish plot. Then it continued in a sequel called Angels Among Us, and the Alabama song of that name was playing through my dream. I haven't heard that song in years. XD; Haven't even thought about it. So then I woke up and wondered if there was any way I could get a sequel to come out. I started typing one in. So far, I have no idea of plot, only that Seph is actually addressed as "General!" by someone, and he looks and finds a girl who was the sister of a soldier who was killed several years ago. Seph had gone to inform the family of it and the girl still remembers him.
... And when I try to picture the girl, all I'm getting is Lana Skye from Phoenix Wright. **headdesk.** Fancy uniform, epaulets, and all. I'm thinking she brings some mystery to Seph's attention, but I have no idea of what it is.
I've been debating back and forth on whether Kala-Ansa should be back, having been returned to life with wings as a punishment for her treatment of winged people. Seph idly wondered at the possibility, and it does sound so deliciously justified. And she would no doubt be even more vicious and violent and bitter with wings. I kinda don't want her to be redeemed. And I also kinda don't know if I want her to come back. XD; So the sequel may mostly be up in the air until I figure it out.
