ladybug_archive: (rockapella)
Some things have changed or are different now (or weren't explained good enough to begin with), so I decided to get out this list and tinker with it. Fictional Rockapella only!

- My Carmen fics take place in an odd sort of world that's both present-day and closest to seasons 1 and 2 (my favorites) in design and structure, but which has elements from the other seasons as well. Among the people mostly from certain seasons, the following have been shown or mentioned:

Agnes Acme (season 1)
Crystal the Teenage Medium (season 1)
The Voice (season 1)
The Mysterious Woman (season 2)
Joey Joey (season 3)
Mrs. Pumpkinclanger, prominent in all/almost all of the seasons, is also present.

- ACME Crimenet is portrayed as a large building, much bigger than what's shown on the series. It also features a parking garage, front and back halls, a recreation room, cafeteria, infirmary, laboratory, and upstairs dorms for the agents who board there (mostly some of the young, unmarried ones). The Gumshoes can either board there or else live at their homes and come in every day.

- Agnes Acme's picture does not talk. Her ghost, however, is said to roam the back hall of ACME Crimenet at night, making sure that all is well.

- While the Voice is probably canonically meant to be God, my version is more like the guardian angel of ACME. But that doesn't stop him from enjoying his role as a mysterious being a little too much, and making cracks at Greg such as the canon one about locusts. He may or may not be Barry's great-grandfather who helped Agnes start ACME Crimenet; that was an early history for him from a series of blurbs that I don't consider part of my timeline.

- Mrs. Pumpkinclanger lives upstairs and across the alley from ACME Crimenet, with her cat, bird, and possibly Mr. Pumpkinclanger, who is never seen. She is Barry's estranged aunt, who refuses to believe that one of those "loud detectives" is her nephew.

- Fictional Scott is both the Dying Informant and a Musicnet Agent. Real-life Scott's role on the show as a Canine Language Interpreter hasn't ever really been figured into things, so it's up in the air whether my version of the fictional Scott is really a "dog whisperer" or not.

- Scott and Greg were childhood friends, despite growing up in different states. Mostly they communicated via the phone, and sometimes letters. When Greg and his family were in New York, Greg's mother invited Scott to come visit for a while.

- Greg casually knew Sean, Elliott, and Barry from seeing them around, but he did not try to make friends with them until after Scott met them during a snowball fight in Central Park.

- Scott and Elliott share the closest bond among the Musicnet agents, with a friendship not unlike Frodo and Sam's. Sean and Barry have been pretty much equally close to each other and the others, but their friendship is deepening. The closer Scott and Elliott are depicted as being, the closer Sean and Barry grow as well.

- With the time period in the present day, the guys' ages neither reflect their real-life counterparts' current ages, nor their ages from when they were filming the show. To fit in with the fictional timeline and backstory, their ages are as follows:

Barry (29)
Elliott (24)
Sean (22)
Scott (21)

When Jeff appears, he is said to be five years younger than Scott (16).

- The guys dress with a mixture of season 1, season 2, and season 3 styles for their shirts:

Sean (usually bluish-purple, sometimes red)
Scott (blue; can be sky blue or darker blue)
Elliott (dark red; sometimes wine; sometimes yellow)
Barry (light green or dark green)

Sean will usually wear the gray fedora from season 1 instead of the wine-colored hat. Scott also usually wears a black trenchcoat over his other clothes.

- Their hair is also in the style of season 1, meaning Sean has lots of lovely blond braids (instead of the more thinned-out look from later) and Barry has the ponytail instead of a braid down his back. Elliott does not have sideburns. Scott's hair is extremely permed and he is completely clean-shaven.

- Greg, incidentally, also looks most like he did in seasons 1 and 2, and will usually be wearing the dark blue jacket from season 2.

- The Chief may wear green sometimes instead of red. (Because it's cool. And because some of my favorite season 1 episodes are the ones with her in green.)

- As of Falling Down Like Dominoes, Elliott does indeed wear earrings---but only one pair of small gold ones.

- Elliott has bad allergies. Mainly he seems allergic to dust, but also seems to suffer from hay fever. He of course uses Astelin as his allergy medication.

- Despite the fact that they are more based on season 1, and their surroundings on season 2, incidents from other seasons have happened, such as the marble incident from season 3.

- Despite the fact of that happening, Elliott is very intelligent. He is also, however, somewhat clumsy and very girl-shy. He tinkers with technical things at times.

- Scott is well-versed in many subjects and wise, but very unlucky. He is also the most likely to scream out of reflex if something shocking or horrifying happens.

- Barry is the least talkative and the least likely to ever talk about things that trouble him, but speaks when he has something important to say.

- Sean will sometimes open up to Barry, but prefers to keep his anxieties hidden from the others. They often see through his facades anyway, however.

- Jeff, instead of being Silent Sam like he is on the show, talks quite a bit (and is somewhat of an obnoxious punk). But he has a good heart and is fully on the side of the law.
