**snarks.** Chameleons live in lots of places, but the Asian ones apparently don't have horns? And the horned ones are supposed to have three.... Of course, Espio wouldn't *have* to be of Asian descent, but since he belongs to a ninja clan in the comics and is a ninja in all branches of the fandom, that's kind of what I'd think of first....
