Now that I've calmed down and am feeling relatively normal, I'm back to working on the Springheel Jack fic as it was originally intended: continuing the timeline begun with the Phantom Hitchhiker trilogy. Actually that developed because I realized that not only would I have to omit the opening monologue, I'd have to take out a part where Autor is afraid of an approaching carriage due to his previous, fatal accident, and I'm quite fond of that part.

As for whether or not this timeline is the main timeline, however, I'm not sure. Autor references Fall From Grace in the Jack fic, but not Think Back on Yesterday. That was because I didn't want to reference an as-of-yet unfinished fic, but it could also be because the timelines diverged after Fall From Grace. I haven't decided yet.

And I want to have them go on a mystery involving the underground tunnels at the library. Seriously, there's a crypt and ossuary under there! What in the world? **thought those were only under churches, cemeteries, and private estates.** It would make a wonderfully intriguing and mysterious and creepy fic.
