Well, there goes the final part of Fuer Dich. In a couple of days I'll get up chapter 1 of my new mystery fic. Yes, chapter 1 is already done and I'm into chapter 2. I have the plot mostly mapped out for the beginning chapters and the end. It's the middle I'm not sure about. **headdesk.**
I decided to call the fic It's Probably Me, since I associate the song with Fakir and Autor and since the fic focuses on them a lot. I think I started associating the song with the fic when I got to where Autor is going to go with Ahiru to try to help Fakir in spite of the horrible argument that hasn't been resolved and Autor's deeply hurt feelings over it.Of course, Autor being Autor, he doesn't like to actually say or think that he's hurt, but he definitely is.
It's interesting; even though the song's vernacular certainly sounds more like Fakir, it's mostly Autor I picture as the narrator (albeit I'm sure he would use some different words, LOL). I think it's because it's confirmed that Fakir thinks of Autor as a strange friend, but Autor's feelings in that direction are unknown, so I'm curious about exploring his side of it. And the song's almost grudging/reluctant/resigned tone sounds like Autor and his determination to do the right thing towards the show's climax, in spite of his standoffish and previously jealous behavior. At the same time, I definitely do get a sense of Fakir and his inability to really say how he feels, particularly when it comes to the "I hate to say it" lines. The bridge sums it up very nicely by saying that both parties are having a difficult time with that. LOL.
Their awkwardness and the terrible trouble they have with expressing themselves is part of what makes their friendship so fun to tinker with. By contrast, what makes Autor and Ahiru friendship so squeeable is that Autor is much more relaxed and open with Ahiru.
