I am amused.

My taste in good-looking men is sometimes (often?) very different from what the general consensus would be. In one episode of The Patty Duke Show there's a minor character dating an unseen guy named Alan. There's no proof that he's the Alan played by Jeff Siggins, but there's no proof he isn't, either. The girl, Susan, wanted to find a "dreamboat" to date instead, after she and Alan had a misunderstanding. And I was thinking, "If her Alan is the one played by Jeff Siggins, she's already got a dreamboat!"

I rarely do squee hard over live-action people; I've almost always preferred animated guys. And of course it was an animated guy who first made me stop and take notice of Jeff Siggins. But his characters are just so cute and sweet that I'm sure I would have been attracted anyway. And I've always found the bookish, bespectacled type very appealing. Autor just furthered my feelings rather than to originate them.

The above episode is another one where Jeff Siggins appeared uncredited. Susan stops in the hall to chat with him, but since she and Alan are having problems I don't think Jeff was playing Alan. My guess would be Alfred, since Alfred is the only character who had a speaking role for more than one episode. In any case, he looked so adorable and cute that I wanted to glomp him.

I hope there are season 2 episodes where he appears uncredited as well! I plan to get hold of season 2 as soon as I receive payment from another survey company.
