Moving Right Along.
Mar. 25th, 2011 01:53 pmI have to admit, when I watched the Horror in the Heights episode of Kolchak, I was hoping that it would be Tony Vincenzo that the monster would appear to Kolchak as. I almost wonder if the writer was trying to make the viewers think that would be the case, since Kolchak was muttering earlier about wanting to shoot Tony and the monster had to be defeated by being shot by a crossbow while still looking like the person it was pretending to be. But regardless, I did like the squee of it being Miss Emily that appeared to him instead. That was cute, to find that he trusts her.
Of course, it doesn't mean Miss Emily is the only person whom he trusts. I would think he probably trusts Tony too, in spite of their heated arguments.
Seriously, I wonder what happened to Kolchak in the past to make him believe, prior to the attack, that he didn't trust anyone. On the other hand, I'm not sure I would want it revealed. I like for Kolchak to have mystery about him. I don't think we need to know all about his past.

31_days prompt, Everyone cares about somebody, intrigues me. It could fit so well for so many aloof characters. I was originally idly considering using it for a ficlet concerning the Baby Face Morales gang, but a concrete plot never materialized. I'm kind of considering now seeing if I could write a test scene for the proposed Kolchak vs. Yami Marik fic, specifically the scene where Kolchak finds Tony after Yami Marik had gotten to him. Yami Marik has left a note for Kolchak, letting him know the attack was completely because of him. It infuriates Kolchak.
I'm currently feeling less cranky about the weird Monkees fic. Chapter 5 isn't moving along too fast, though. I wonder if I'll get this thing done in time for Amnesty Day.
I also seem to have forgot something I wanted to say. Undoubtedly, I will remember once this is posted.
