Quick Post
Apr. 27th, 2011 12:54 pmIt's interesting that while I held off on watching The Devil's Platform for a long time, when I finally did see it it ended up one of my favorite episodes. It has one of the most intriguing scenes in the whole series, when Robert Palmer tries to tempt Kolchak into joining him. I really like trying to pick apart some of the things revealed about Carl in that scene. And oddly enough, I don't think the episode was as openly creepy as The Trevi Collection (which is also a favorite of mine).
Eeee, I'd forgotten about the scene in Horror in the Heights where Carl is demonstrating to the police that Harry screamed, so he screams. And Tony comes tearing in thinking that the police are hurting Kolchak. It was so squeeable.
... And it gave me a plunnie idea, but I don't know whether I should do something with it or not. Tony mentions that one of the policemen doing the interrogation was reprimanded for being too rough in the past. The plunnie would involve a couple of police really getting too rough with Carl during one such interrogation, either without meaning to or deliberately. If I did it, it would probably be a scene/sub-plot in a mystery story, maybe in the one based on Kaze's idea. I'm just not sure if police brutality is really something I want to get into in one of my fics. But I've done stuff with crooked cops, so I guess that shouldn't be much different.
