This is just adorable.
I love all kinds of friendships, from the subtle to those who flat-out admit to their caring for each other.
And it just gives me the giggles that they took a song that's originally about a romantic couple and changed it up to be platonic.
On that note, slashers are apparently around even in this old fandom, but honestly, for this show it just amuses me more than anything. These characters would never get together like that, but the slashers certainly have plenty of encouragement with all the friendship squee going on in this and other episodes.
And on a completely opposite subject, I'm tinkering with an odd oneshot that asks the questions What could cause Lieutenant Schrank to completely snap, and What might he be like if he did. It's both frightening and sad.
