Interesting.
Jul. 16th, 2011 02:19 pmCrystal and I have been working on our little project together (which we hope to have ready to unveil soon!), and over the course of the last few hours I realized something. Non-fiction writing is my passion, just as fiction writing is. It's strange, how it took me this long to discover that.
Oddly enough, I have Autor to thank for it, in a round-about way. It was because of writing his distinctive, serious speech pattern that I started thinking about my overuse of emoticons and how I wanted to change that. I've mostly weened myself off of them by now, save for an occasional smiley in casual conversations. And now that my entries look more professional, I've become very excited about them. That seems to be continuing over to all non-fiction writing I've been doing lately. I always did like writing essays (when I enjoyed the topic). Now I feel the same sense of pride over any bit of writing, whether it's an actual essay or not. I think my non-fiction writing is improving. I'm excited to see where it takes me.
