So I just learned about the reissue/remaster of the old DuckTales game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckTales:_Remastered

Alan Young is 94 years old and is still voicing Scrooge! He is awesome.

(Sidenote: Mister Ed is not a favorite show of mine, but the episode with Wilbur's father is priceless. Alan Young plays the dad as well as Wilbur, and the dad talks just like Scrooge. Whenever I've seen that episode, I keep expecting to see a talking duck wander in.)

Also, am I the only person who thinks Sid and Marty Krofft shows are really, really weird? Every time I see previews of them on MeTV or THIS, I have the same very weirded-out feelings. Most people seem to think back on those shows so fondly, but they make my skin crawl. I think they would have creeped me out as a kid, too.

Admittedly, I'll have to actually try at least one episode before writing them off, but the costumes and the puppets are just ... gah. So freaky.

Happy Thanksgiving! I wrote a Thanksgiving fic: http://100songs.livejournal.com/218778.html

So I still didn't get the Build-a-Bear Twilight (although I did get some of the Equestria Girls dolls I wanted and love them). I still haven't fully given up on the idea, but there have been several reasons for hesitation.

I still don't like paying $25 for a character I already own, even though it's a much different plushie.

I worry I'll pay more attention to the new version of the character instead of to the plushie I've loved for a long time now.

And when I went to check the plushies out, every single one had glue in her tail!

After checking with other Pony fans, the latter seems to be an unsurprising problem for some, and a shock for others. Bleh. I hope that was just a bad batch and they don't always look like that at the local Build-a-Bear.

I really wish they would release characters that no one else has officially made plushies of yet, such as Luna. I would jump on getting her. I want to have the Build-a-Bear experience and stuff the plushie and such; it sounds like such fun! But it's so hard to steer myself to getting the Twilight plush because of the above issues.

I still don't entirely like the alicorn idea for her, but I enjoyed the new episodes last Saturday. And I think the longer I watch the new season, the more I'll want to have an alicorn plush of her. Out of all the store's released Ponies so far, she's still the one I want most. The Fluttershy is really cute, too, but it is surprising that she doesn't seem to have as much hair as you'd think she would.

I'll hopefully be getting to the store again in the coming weeks, to see Flutter in person. And maybe by then I will have fully decided to get the Twilight.

Hopefully by then, the store will also have a new batch without glue on the tails. Oy vey.
