So apparently my quibbles over the Raph plushie, and some excitement over maybe getting to see the new movie in theatres next month, resulted in a Turtles dream. It was odd because it seemed to be a TV show I was watching, but it was being acted out with the action figures for the new movie. I can't remember all that was going on, but the "season" ended with something happening to Donny and Mike, disappearing or being captured or something. Then I was aggravated because the new season (season 8, I believe) opened with things a year later. But Donny and Mike were still missing, and then there was squeeableness when they escaped and found Leo and Raph (and probably Splinter, but I don't recall if he was in the reunion).
Interesting sidenote regarding figures: I don't have more than one Turtles figure from a specific line! Well, unless you count my astronaut Raph and my Fugitoid, which were from the same, first cartoon line. But then my Leo is from the first movie and Donny is from a release meant to resemble the comic book Turtles. Donny is supposed to do a ninja cartwheel, which he doesn't always perform as he's supposed to. He comes with a hilarious booklet on the figure line's ninja moves and how to enact them, narrated by Master Splinter. I also have Casey Jones from the 2003 cartoon.
I still do not have Mikey in any form. I'm honestly not sure why I never got around to getting him. He is my least favorite, but I think I only determined that starting with the 2003 cartoon. I do want him, though, and I wish the prices of the current cartoon figures would come down a bit. I really don't want to pay almost $9 for a Mikey figure. Ah, the days when action figures were $5....
I also kind of wish I had another Raph, since my Raph is in an unremoveable astronaut suit. But then I feel guilty to think of getting a second Raph since I have one.
