I have had a fun time. The Boba Fett figure was still there on Tuesday, so I did bring him home. Somehow I managed that without Dad realizing what I bought, so I'm still expecting some level of "... What is THAT" when sometime he happens to see it. And I get restless just keeping it in my room, so I might just bring it into the living room sometime for TV watching and he'd definitely see it then.

This past night we went to see whether we could find a skirt in a bigger size at Macy's and couldn't, so I went to Kohl's and got some trousers with part of the money instead, as I needed a couple more pair and this is one of the best times to get them, when they're on clearance prices! I got one for $5 and one for $3.69. **starry eyes.**

I also got the Raph plush from Build-a-Bear, using the gift card from Ladyamberjo, $5 that I won in a local contest sponsored by a local car chain, and a bit of borrowed money. (The other part of the clothing money, to be exact.) The bin was almost empty of Raph after only a week! It was full on my birthday. They said there'd be one more shipment of him on Monday and they figured that would be it. But now I learn from a holiday flyer the store put out that the Turtles plushies will be coming back again for the Christmas holidays even if they sell out now (which isn't what I was told on Facebook), so I'm worrying a bit whether I should have waited and got Applebloom instead (who was cheaper and wouldn't have required borrowing anything). But I'm happy to have Raph here now, so I don't think I'll worry too much. Currently he's riding my Applejack. LOL. Next mission: find out why they didn't send me a birthday discount coupon, see if they still will, and get Applebloom regardless.

Tonight I also saw an awesome Boba Fett shirt at Wal-Mart. Instant starry eyes. I would love to have it if I can find it in a workable size (they only had it too big), but on the other hand, my dad would probably go through the ceiling if I started wearing something like that around!

I also got the Luna plushie in the mail on Wednesday, who is smaller than I thought she would be, but she's so very soft and that makes up for a lot.

And I've been devouring the Mannix book I got with her. It's great, but I'm disappointed the author focuses on seasons 2-8 and doesn't really talk about season 1 or Lew at all. It makes me want to write a book specifically about season 1. It doesn't deserve being overlooked!

I really might start that project once October is over. I'm working on the creepy Halloweeny fics for the [livejournal.com profile] octoberwriting challenge, but I've only got three done! They're turning out longer than they have in past years, since now I'm so comfortable with writing the characters and have lots of scenes of them discussing stuff as well as the actual plot scenes. But if they all get long, I wonder if I'll really be able to complete the challenge this year! I don't believe in quantity over quality at all, so I spend time getting each fic the way I want it before posting. That may result in not being able to get all ten/eleven done on time. But if so, oh well. I'm having fun anyway.
