So I called the third Wal-Mart, and unless the person didn't check well enough, I was right that they no longer have Bedtime Bear. Then I got curious wondering if he was really released in all sizes, so I tried looking that up. I can only find the big size listed at eBay and none of the stores' websites show him, but they all seem to only show the main characters and not the background ones. I was right about Toys R Us selling the giant plush for $5 more than Wal-Mart, but the ones with the DVDs seem to be the same price both places.
I also discovered that there have been some regular DVD releases, with four episodes on each, so then I debate whether I really want to get the medium plush or if I should just focus on the large size whenever possible. I do think $17.99 is hefty for a 12-inch plush, and since the DVD only has one episode, it doesn't seem like that should really cost so much. When the large size is only $2 more at Wal-Mart, it does seem a lot more logical to go for that size for any character I want and can find in that size.
I'm still not sure if all characters have come out in every size, though. I've never seen Grumpy in the large size, that I recall, and I haven't seen Good Luck in any size other than medium (although I think both of them are depicted in all sizes in the plushie commercial). I can't find any listings for Bedtime in sizes other than large, although maybe I should check Amazon, since I'm pretty sure I saw a medium Wish there.
I debated going to Wal-Mart today, as I was out delivering a present, but that was before I called the other Wal-Mart, so I decided against checking our Wal-Mart again this week. Even though I'm thinking of getting the big Cheer plush, I want Bedtime more, so I thought I should hold off until I checked about that. Now that I have, without success, I'm not sure what I'll do.
I wish there was a website that lists every one of the current Just Play line. Their own website is most unhelpful. And the stores' websites aren't too helpful, either. The only thing that really helps is looking in each store in person, but I can't do much of that at one time.
And I finally figured out a plot for the Beautiful Goodbye prompt. For a long time I wondered what to do with it other than make another near-death fic. Finally I decided to follow up another thread from the reunion fic and have Lou learn that the missing high school friend probably really is dead, so he and Ginger are going to fly back for a memorial service. I knew death would probably be involved in the fic in some way, either that or another type of permanent parting, but it's definitely less sad if it doesn't involve Ginger and Lou being separated. It's still going to be a sad fic, though.
I need to work on my FF.net fics, really, but when I'm so close to completing the theme set, it's so much more intriguing to focus on that right now. And when I do finish, I probably will tweak Table 3 with whatever prompts from Table 2 I want to use to replace any already-used/not liked prompts on Table 3 (up to 10 prompts) and then start Table 3! Good grief. But it will make me happy to have another extensive table available to draw from whenever I want to write Ginger and Lou fics, and I love the
100songs comm so much, so it seems like the best idea.
I don't know what I'll do if I finish Table 3 and still want more, since I will have taken so many prompts from Table 2 to fill in prompts on the other two tables and likely won't want to write for those prompts again. But I guess we'll see if that point ever comes.
