H'm. Since Autor certainly wouldn't bring charges, and Fakir was reported to the police as kidnapped well before any crime, and they're taking potshots at Charon et al....
Okay, you might want to try a few things here, even without knowing much about the law in another country:
a) Once today, I saw you mention The Ransom of Red Chief. There is a similar incident in (relatively) early Bruno the Bandit comics.
b) "Um. Yes, Officer/Your Honor, they kidnapped me and threatened to kill my friends and family if I didn't write a story for them, because they thought anything I'd write would come true. No, sir, aside from that they were sane, and I never found a chance to escape. They did, in fact, try to kill my family. No, sir, I have no idea why anyone would think that, nor how he would persuade anyone else to think that. No, sir, I can't actually demonstrate, can I? That would be silly. All I could do was record what they'd planned and try to leave a copy where the authorities would find it."
c) If he can get around Anton, all he'd need would be a few minutes with pen and paper... or similar. (dunh dunh DUNH, as some people put it.)
Amazing, the things one thinks of around three a.m. The difference is, that's when I'm supposed to be awake. And I have no New Year's resolutions (except to get the SS story done this week.) So, };P
