Okay, something just hit me....

Rainbow Dash is sort of Distilled Essence of Peppermint Patty, only with a bit more arrogance.

I didn't think of it until I remembered my cousin playing Peppermint Patty in 'Snoopy.' Anyone who knew her said it was the perfect role.
