AUUUUUUGH!

I am getting so sick of having extreme insomnia in Springtime! I don't know WTH I'm allergic to, but this is just so ridiculous! Today I dozed a little bit in the morning. Then I laid down for a proper sleep, but because I'd dozed, my body decided it wouldn't let me sleep any more! And I'm going out tomorrow! I need to have a good rest!

Almost every Spring this happens. And my body keeps pushing itself and letting me have less and less sleep until finally it can't take it and I have maybe one really good sleep again. Either that or I get sick from lack of sleep and the insomnia continues through that.

And I'm starting to feel a little guilt over buying another Rarity plush, just like I felt over Twilight. Interestingly, I didn't really feel that over Fluttershy. Maybe because I was on a high from loving the Build-a-Bear Twilight and was eager to get another favorite Pony in the set. I'm sure when I see Rarity in the store, all guilt will depart in favor of adoring the gorgeousness.

I'm also hoping to go to Toys R Us and get one of the infamous Princess plushies, if they have them. If both are available, I'll probably choose Celestia, but I'd be happy with either her or Cadance. Even though they're more expensive than Wal-Mart (which still refuses to get them), I think they're worth that to me, and it's certainly better than what they've been going for online.

I wish people would post their pictures of the Rarity, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo plushies that they're getting. I've been waiting all day to see pictures other than the stock pictures, but nobody's posting, even though some people are announcing they've got the plushies. I remember how fun it was when Fluttershy was released and people posted pictures of theirs and of any clothes they got for her.

Also, I've never actually bought a gift card in my life. It puzzles me when I see people saying they're going to go buy a gift card and use that to get something, because I always thought that you had to pay whatever price was on the card. Like, if it's $25, you really have to pay $25 to get it. But it doesn't seem logical that people would do that if they're going to turn around and use the card for something else they want to buy, so I figure there must be another answer. I've searched online and I can't find any really satisfactory information on how and what to pay for gift cards. It's very annoying.

When I didn't have a debit card, I used to buy iTunes gift cards at the store (Wal-Mart, grocery, etc) and then put them on my iTunes account so I could buy things off the store. It's a site where you have to have a credit card to make a purchase and at the time my mother's credit card was on there. So rather than having to pay her back all the time, I did the gift card route.

So it may be something like that if they're buying things online if Build-A-Bear gift cards are available elsewhere. But if it's for in-store purchases, then that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either.

Ahhh, interesting. The person I saw most recently talking about it was buying online, but I'm pretty sure I've also seen people saying similar things about offline purchases.

I think gift cards can also be a way of a person budgeting. Like, "I'm only going to spend this much money at this store." But at the same time, "I've set aside this money for this store, and now there's no turning back."

Ahh, good point. Yeah, it's definitely useful for being limiting.

Yeah, I would only buy a giftcard for a friend. Otherwise, it's kind of a waste of time since you don't actually get a discount or anything! Sometimes at restaurants if you buy like a $50 card they'll give you an additional $10 card or something, but that's kind of unusual.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Another thing I wondered, though, is how some gift cards are called "prepaid". It makes it sound like someone else already put up the majority of the cost and you maybe only have to pay a few dollars to the store and not the full cost of what's on the gift card. Which also doesn't make much sense to me, but I don't get the "prepaid" term at all.

After I saw this, I also got curious. While it doesn't cover all prepaid cards, I thought this was helpful/interesting: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/creditcom/gift-card-vs-prepaid_b_2129903.html

That's interesting, but what it doesn't cover is what I was actually questioning: "cards that are marketed as a way to give someone a specific amount of money as a gift." Those are marketed as prepaid too, and so I'm really trying to figure out if they're different than the gift cards that you fill out at a specific store, and if you have to pay the full balance for them even though they say "prepaid".

I'm having the opposite problem with sleep - I have trouble getting out of bed!

LOL. Sounds nice. Although it would definitely be frustrating to oversleep! Sometimes I have that problem too.
