A flesh coloured pencil is a very good idea. I always have problems mixing the right colour paint for skin tones.
I love the bears at Build-a-Bear. I know they are more expensive but the quality is so much better and with the outfits they really do look that little bit more special.
Hope your dad manages to get you the right Batman set. :)
