I will be highly amused if the dogs are named Jasper and Horace. Just as long as they're really dogs and not the people turned into dogs. That wouldn't be amusing.

Huh. That's an interesting thought. If she did, though, it doesn't seem like she would have written herself into such a bad situation.
I don't imagine the author is anyone we've met. Unless maybe it's the Blue Fairy. Part of me really likes the idea that she's the real Big Bad, pulling the strings behind everything. So many of her actions are illogical and displeasing to me.
