Gaaah! Turn down the heat!

Ugh. I love summer, but heat is not something I deal with well. The official high for Wednesday was 103 degrees Fahrenheit! And it's going to stay around the same for the next few days. Oh, what I'd give to have a properly working air conditioner. . . .

Dad's finally home. On Sunday he left to drive to California with some other family members to get to a funeral. Mom didn't feel up to going, and neither did I, especially with the arrival of cramps, so we stayed home. It was weird having Dad gone overnight for two nights. I was somewhat edgy as well, since we are prone to having prowler problems in the neighborhood. Blah. I wanna move.

I started my World History and Sociology courses. Interesting stuff. I think I'll be able to breeze through both courses fairly quickly.

**pokes the animated Raphael icon.** My first animated avatar. XD I'm so proud. I want to make one of Lafarga that says "Raphael Look-Alike." Seriously, he looks so much like him. They both have blonde hair, blue eyes, lots of muscles, and two earrings in their left ears. Lafarga seems to have some of the same personality traits, too, such as loyalty.

I've been working more on my war flashbacks fic again. I think I should cut back to the present right after this scene I'm doing now, which is when Alister is recovering from being shot. I don't want the flashbacks to simply drag on without a purpose, after all. And since the whole thing started after Valon got shot, it seems a good place to end it.

And ah yes, I've finally seen four episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist. I must say, it's rather bizarre. XD; Normally it wouldn't be my thing, but I love some of the characters and of course, the sibling cuteness. Muwahahaha.

I saw episodes 5, 6, 7, and 8. That includes Nina's terrible fate and Barry the Chopper. O__o;; I cannot stand Barry. XD; He annoys and creeps me out as much as Buggy does. **bemoans the fact that Buggy has returned to One Piece.** But I do love Ed, Al, Major Hughes, and Hawkeye. ^^ Not sure yet what I think of Roy, but I'll probably like him. Not sure about Winry yet, either. I'm told that she throws wrenches at Ed, and characters that throw things at other characters tend to annoy me. XD; When I first saw her in episode 8, she did somehow give off the impression of being one of those violent anime girls, so I wasn't too surprised to hear about her throwing wrenches. **laughs.**

I had to take stuff back to the library earlier, so I was able to pick up the next Saint Tail DVD and a Magic Knight Rayearth 2 DVD that I haven't seen for about a year. XD; I wanted to refresh my memory with that part of the arc.

We also had to do some shopping and get birthday presents for people, so we dropped in at Media Play and Wal-Mart. At the former, I browsed through the third volume of the first round of MKR manga and decided again that I prefer the anime version. XD; There's more character development, it stretches out longer instead of rushing by so quick, and Lafarga gets a bigger role, among other things. Of course, the anime version also gives us Nova, and for me she's one of the sweetest things about the whole fandom.

It's interesting. . . . I was thinking about it yesterday morning, and I realized that I think MKR has been the second biggest anime writing influence, right after YGO. It gets so philosophical, and I adore that, and then my stories get philosophical too. The Doom Arc is also that way. I think that's one major reason why it intrigues me so much (well, other than the bikers, of course). I've become more philosophical in general ever since I got into anime, and I'm quite pleased with that.

LOL. The only thing I do love about summer is that there is no school and I can go back to being nocturnal. Hate the weather. I'm more of a late fall and winter person.

That's what I love about living in a small town, not much noise and not to many crime problems. Though . . . there is the idiot college drop out next door that's stolen form us before. I'm pretty confident I could kick his ass now. --.-- That and when I hear anything I get a weapon. Just wish I had one to carry on me. I feel more like a protectoret of the house now as opposed to someone that needs to be protected. Part of my personality I suppose.

I do enjoy that icon. XD I downloaded Animation Shop (I found the full version this time instead of the trial) a while back and I still haven't installed it.

Barry the Chopper is worse than Buggy in my opinion. XD While I don't like clowns, homicidal crossdressers are just . . . Ehhh. **shudders, then pauses** Homicidal crossdressers . . . I'll have to remember that one.

**tries to think of her biggest anime influence** That's a tough one. 0.0;; I'm sure YGO is up there somewhere . . . but I imagine Saiyuki and Kenshin get a lot of credit. Oh and let's not forget Bebop. Definitely Bebop and Saiyuki with all the smoking that keeps coming up in my stuff. LOL

Winry's not TOO bad with the throwing wrenches thing. XD She only THROWS it in one episode, and clobbers him with it in another one, but that was less random and more of an emotional thing. She mainly just waves it around and obsesses over mechanics and tools. Winry's actually pretty awesome. XD FMA's great, and you saw some of the better episodes, as far as the early ones go. <3

**checks todays weather forecast** ... **whistles and sweatdrops** And I thought 79 degrees fahrenheit was bad, with a nice 43% humidity. o_o How the heck do you SURVIVE? (even with Air Con? o.o)

Never seen FMA, but I wanna. >3 I saw one of the DVDs in a store somewhere..

^^; I never really got into FMA for some reason, even though it was an interesting show. I saw the first three or four episodes, I think.

As far as anime influences go, it depends on what I'm writing. Each of my stories have different anime/manga that influence them. I guess right now Saiyuki is my big influence. Wolf's Rain and Fruits Basket inspire me, too.

You like Hughes, eh? 9.9 Don't watch after episode 24.
;_____; Nina....
Wait until episode 13. Roy is awesomeness in that one. @_@
Barry is a lot more likeable in the later manga chapters. He has a crush on Riza. XD!!!;;;

FMA ramblings ^_^

(Gah, I accidentally hit some stuff and it killed my comment. X_X Trying again.)

Winry gets such a bad rep from some of the fans; it's partially like, y'know, "OMG I HAAAATE WINRI SO MUCH!!11!1 SHES SO ANOYING ND A CRBABY!!11!" and it's also partially like, "OMG WINRYS A TOTAL WHORSLUTB***C!!!11 STAY AWAY FROM MY EDDIEPOO!!11!!!1 *KILLS WINRY LOL*"

Etc. (That was painful to write I'll have you know.)

She just sorta...beats up Ed when he breaks his automail. ^^; My favorite example of her hitting them with the wrench is in the manga, right after Al says Ed isn't really his brother. In the manga it's Ed that runs off, and so Winry's crying and banging Al with the wrench. I was like, "Go Winry!" considering I was mad at Al for that part. X3

Yes, it is a rather bizarre series. I still remember going to watch the first episode on Adult Swim, and I really had no idea what the series was about, just that it was pretty popular. So yes... It starts out with a scene with the two of them trying to bring back their mom, so you can imagine my reaction...XD I was like, "O__O Holy crap that kid's LEG just came off!"

But yes, in the beginning I only stuck with it because of the sibling fluff. ^_^;;

Barry the Chopper is actually really cool in the manga. (He never tries to kill little!Ed in the manga. ^^') So in the manga he's a suit of armor the whole time, and one night he stumbles upon Riza and develops a crush on her. XD So she's always like, "Barry, you can't kill so-and-so." ^^;;

Yeah, I didn't start really writing until anime. My biggest influence is definitely YGO. And you, with the Incredible Edible H/C Fic. ^_^'

Kay, I'm done being obsessive now~

...103? *shudder* We've been holding in the nineties over here, our but humidity's obscenely high...it's like trying to breathe hot water... *hides in her very cold basement*

*squees all over FMA* I had no desire whatsoever to see it, and then I saw an episode by accident and was hooked. The characters are all so vivid...

I think I've seen up to episode 25 or 26 so far, and the first four in original language...the dub's actually pretty decent as far as the series goes, though I still like the original better...*snuggles Hughes like a hyperactive fangirl* Huuuughes...and Winry's cool ^_^ She gets the same mistreatment from the fandom that Anzu does, being the obligatory hated-by-fangirls female, but she's cool...and generally when she uses the wrench on Ed (which isn't often) he tends to have deserved it...at least to some degree ^_^

103 degrees? Yikes, that's hot! O_O; I like summer too but I'm glad we don't usually get temperatures like that around here!

Cute icon. :-D

I don't have cable and have never seen any Fullmetal Alchemist so I can't really comment on that. About all I know is that it seems to be one of the really hot series to cosplay from these days. XD;
