Firstly, I adore this icon Aubrie made from one of the new Crisis Core scans. Zack and Yuffie! The cute! X3

The weekend was largely spent working on my KH Seph fic for prompt #18 at 13_fears, and it seems to be almost done. I'm gonna take a breather and let it sit for a couple hours, then give it another once-over and post.

It's the first time in a while that I really felt sad, even upset, at something I've written. XD; It turns out alright, but it still seemed so saad, the way the antagonists were treating KH Seph, like he wasn't human, and pulling and even stepping on his wings. ;__; I think it has to be the way I did it, to make it the most deep/different it can be, but I still felt awful for putting him through that.

In the morning I got hit with an idea for an intense twist at the end and decided to use it. Its usage makes the story more than random hurt/comfort and angst, and sets up a mini-arc for at least one other fic. I have an idea for said fic, too.

I also finally colored the pictures of Zack trying to untangle his hair and Zack with Sephiroth at the end of Sunrise and Midnight, when Zack announces his restoration. I'll probably scan them later.

The Scottish festival is this weekend. X3 I found out recently that I actually have some Scottish blood, which makes it even cooler.

Been watching LOTR films again lately. **pets them.** And tonight I listened to all three soundtracks. A nice backdrop for my proofreading. It's always so hard for me to pick a favorite film, because each time I watch one, I decide it's my favorite. XD;

Was gonna say something else about them, but I forgot what.

Owwwww, wing-stepping would have to hurt...maybe just because I assume that even on a humanoid figure, any sort of functional wing would have to be delicate and hollow-boned. *sudden urge to go look at the pretty Angel Sanctuary artbook scans of broken and ripped-up angel wings*

...sorry I can't contribute anything more constructive than that...my Kingdom Hearts knowledge is pretty much restricted to the manga and a few fanarts, and my Final Fantasy knowledge pretty much comes from Siren trying to summarize the game for me so I could watch Advent Children. ^_^;;; ...but what's Crisis Core? o.o;

Crisis Core is an upcoming game that will focus on this guy. **pets icon.** He's the one who died saving Cloud. It will also show us sane-Sephiroth, which I am squeeing about. XD That, and the fact that my beloved fanon of Zack and Seph being friends is now true in canon.

*wonders briefly if broken human-sized wings could realistically be splinted properly* ...if the wing-bones are hollow, and the rest of the body's bones are regular solid-ish human-like bones, it might put too much of a strain on the wing unless it healed really, really well...but then, Sephiroth has, what, three wings? Four?...in that particular universe, so maybe it'd just put a strain on the rest of them...*scampers off to read about ripped multi-wings in the Darkangel Trilogy again*

...hm. That was too much thinking about wings, wasn't it? XD;

I'm semi-familiar with Zack. ^_^ I saw some of your pictures and asked Siren, and got a brief description as well as a "you'd like him, he's very loyal." Also found a couple of doujinshi of him with either Cloud or Sephiroth or both, but I think they were all yaoi or at least shounen-ai. I didn't look at them, but if I do and the shounen-ai ones are more friendshippy and less makey-outy, should I send them your way?

Hmmm. Interesting ponderings! It wouldn't apply to this fic, as the wing doesn't break, but in an earlier fic that is still unfinished, the wing that was stepped on gets crushed by a dragon. **ponders more.**

^^ If the shounen-ai ones are ambiguous, and could be interpreted as friendship all the way through, then I might be interested.

Looks like most of the Zak-flavored doujinshi are very yaoi-ish, with one being super-mega-ultraporn, but there's one shounen-ai one that's really, really cute. There's kissing, though...really innocuous kissing for a doujinshi of any genre, and only detailed or suggestive on one page. Mostly it's hugging...weepy hugging, since it's a short doujinshi and the plot seems to boil down to "Cloud is reminiscing about his dead buddy and is sad, ghost of dead buddy shows up, joyous huggy reunion!" ...even if you're not interested, I'm keeping this file because it's cute and drawn pretty (detailed hair! Pretty huge dragon alright. **nodnod.** Nearly killed Seph. Though, Seph managed to kill it in the end. Cloud ended up nursing Seph back to health at his place, which was awkward for them both. XD Even though the KH versions do not have the same twisted past as their FF7 counterparts.

Yay for wing thoughts! X3 I actually don't know if I can bear eating chicken wings anymore, since I love wings so much. XD; **maybe is a little too obsessed.**

Yeah, stepped on by a dragon that huge would probably result in wing-pudding, at the very least. ...was that the one that was illustrated with the pink couch-pictures? *is phailing at Side7 once again ;_;*

Bah, it shouldn't be. -___- It works for me...maybe try refreshing? Though, um, don't try going to Zelas.net and seeking the picture out yourself unless you don't mind a lot of yaoi and...suggestive things. That doujinshi's pretty harmless, but some of the others...well.

**does the C&P.** I just love when Zack grabs Cloud and messes up his hair in fanworks. XD Though it's hard to imagine Cloud looking so thrilled about it. But in any case, how was a ghost able to do that? Did the doujinshi artist revive him? ^^

That's actually part of the flashback. I can't read Japanese, so I can't say for sure, but it looked like Cloud was feeling all sad and nostalgic about Zack, had a little flashback wherein he remembers being in bed while Zack sat on the edge of it and smoked, then somewhere in the midst of the conversation Zack tried for kisses, which was worth it just for the "...oooooh. Awkward." panel that followed. Then they joked and giggled and tousled hair and stuff, and there was Cloud being all sad in the present again, then apparently-solid ghost!Zack materializes, and Cloud is alternately shocked and weepily overjoyed. Then there's much weepy hugging, a rather simple kiss (it doesn't have to yaoi! Maybe they're just...European! Yeah, that's it.), and Zack fades away again, leaving Cloud looking less-depressed in a "resolved issues" kind of way.

Looks like you found another wing fan, eh? I don't think I'd have a problem with chicken wings, since they look so different when they're defeathered and cooked (plus, they're my favorite part -_-).
Those mean people, tearing at his wings like that. What did he ever do to them!?

Interesting. The wings we had didn't have much on them at all. Maybe the chickens around here don't have really good wings.

If someone tried to eat Seph's wings, he would fight them tooth and nail. And if possible, he would use a good strong fire attack. XD
