Watched AC again, probably the third time since wolf_eye expressed her amazing idea about Seph maybe trying to get Cloud to think, and to realize he can fight and protect the ones he loves. The more I watch, the more it seems plausible, even obvious. X3 Especially since they always had a very complicated relationship. It wasn't all "RAWR! FIGHT!" all the time. XD Also, AC came out not long before KH2, and Seph's harsh mentoring wasn't the only concept from the FF7 Compilation that may have transferred to KH.

I also noticed something else interesting. When Cloud is looking over the church and sees Aerith bending down? She's talking to a couple of kids, and they so see her! When she stands up, one of them waves! I rewound to watch again and make sure. Then when she's walking away, the other kid is watching her.

Also ... I be needing hurt/comfort help. XD; **laces fingers.** What is a scenario in which someone can be thought dead that I either haven't used in forever, or not at all? Oh yeah, and ideally it should involve the person not being there/not being found, as opposed to them finding the person and thinking he's dead. I did the latter the last time I used a scenario with this person. Only he really was dead and they didn't just think it.

... LOL. I think the only one of those I haven't ever used is the suicide note. And this person is not suicidal at all. XD

I got the Nephrite/Naru ficlit up, BTW. ^^ Now to work on getting the first chapter of the big fic done!

Suicide note could be very interesting. **nod.** I've been thinking about it. And I don't think they would believe he had gone through with it, or even that he had written it at all. So then would rise the question of who would want to torment them by trying to make them think he would write such a thing.

My only qualm would be wondering if it would be appropriate to touch on such a sensitive subject, even if he hadn't written the note and someone who hurt him wrote it for him.

Hmm...

Maybe the person goes into hiding, even from the people they care about, until some kind of danger passes? Like a 'fake their own death' scenario, though it may not be their choice at the time?

I was going to suggest Tea... I knew she's spent a few anxious moments by Seto's side in your fics (and probably will in mine...), but never the reverse...? Maybe Tea was due back from her recital... but never came back? And she hasn't spoken to Yugi or Joey or anyone? Maybe she had a fever and went to recital even though she had been told to stay home, but never even made it to recital? So she's not there, and she's not at home... but if you already have a character in mind, you could still have them under the weather and still intending to go somewhere, but not arriving, therefore driving everyone crazy?
I was going to suggest Riku, too... Maybe something happened on Destiny Islands, and Riku vanishes again, leaving Sora and Kairi worried that the darkness is back and is behind Riku's disappearance? But, again, if you already have a character in mind, a general arrival of dark creatures amidst disappearance of said character would also work...
And yay for Seph's friendship with Cloud and coaching him to be his best!

Oh yes, I have a character, I just needed a generic scenario. XD This is for a fic I've already started. I really like your Téa idea, though. I could use that in a fic, sometime.

In AC, Seph and Cloud are mortal enemies, making his actions all the more strange and intriguing. X3

That idea about AC Seph and Cloud is intriguing, and not entirely unfounded. Course, I'm not sure /why/ he would do that 0-0 I mean, does he /want/ Cloud to win, or at least, fight harder? But then, it /is/ Seph, and the things he does don't always make sense ;)

Oh yeah, I've seen people on forums point out that bit about Aerith. I sorta like it; it makes it feel more like she's actually /there/ and not just Cloud imagining things.

Lesse, missing, presumed dead...mmm, kidnappings, inprisonments, simply getting horribly lost X) Going out on some journey/mission alone and not telling anyone (maybe not wanting to get them involved), getting hurt in a way that makes them hard to find (like falling a really long way, or getting swept off to sea), getting trapped inside a creepy old tomb...

I think it would be because he wants Cloud to fight harder. It's possible that, as I originally thought, he just wanted to torment Cloud because he hates Cloud for defeating him, but there's still those strange, strange lines like "Well, that's up to you, Cloud" that seem to make very little sense in that scenario. XD

Trapped inside a creepy old tomb would definitely be fascinating. X3

Aw man, I love it when you get to a point where you start noticing really small things like that in movies. XD I SWEAR, when Cloud passes out in the church you can just make out two people running towards him. And it's totally Zack and Aerith. Of course.

I can see a suicide note being really cool if it was handled well (which you could totally do, of course X3). Beyond that, hmm... *thinking back to things that have happened in PW XD* Jumping off a bridge...? No, that was just used. Poison? Like, something that makes him seem dead? Hmm... Natural disasters? A bad earthquake that levels the building he's in, fire caused by lightning, avalanches, tsunamis... The missing angle wouldn't be too hard to do with a natural disaster-type thing. *shrug*

Buwahaha. X3 I remember you mentioning that, and ever since then I've tried to catch that one. I think I managed once or twice. I'm not sure whether it's Zack and Aerith or Reno and Rude, but Zack and Aerith would be so awesome!

Oooh, it would be angsty if I used the angle discussed in the above comments, about someone taking Seph to torture the others and leaving the suicide note, and when they finally do find Seph, he's been poisoned by the creep and looks dead. o.o

And I've been wanting to write a fic all about a natural disaster and how the characters handle it. X3 Because disaster movies are the awesome.

That's still the coolest idea ever.^^ **has yet to watch it again, though.** It's like Seph wants Cloud to be at his best because he wants a worthy opponent, but you can also think of it as the good Seph coming through to help Cloud in whatever way he can.^^

I think I assumed they'd seen her, but I didn't specifically watch for it. XD; And I definitely don't remember one waving! **will have to watch it again.** In the game, though, if you go back to the church after Aerith's death, you meet two kids who are taking care of Aerith's flowers for her. I like to think it's them in the movie. And I kinda want to say they'd said something about seeing Aerith's spirit, but I don't remember for sure. XD; **can totally imagine her visiting them, though.**

**reads through the comments.** Can you really see someone running to Cloud in the church?? I never knew that! Okay, three reasons to watch AC again. **wills finals to be over so she has free time.** XD

Man, everyone else came up with so many awesome ideas! I still haven't got anything new. XD; Though it sounds like you've already gotten things figured out.^^

Ooh, I really do like the natural disaster idea, though! I'm thinking an earthquake specifically would be really intense. If it was a really bad one, you could have the danger of fires and explosions from gas lines being broken, unstable buildings, and, of course, aftershocks. XD

Or you could just have a random volcano appear in the city. LOL. Or an alien invasion! That counts as a natural disaster in the SimCity games. XD Dude, or a giant rock from space calculated to hit the city! They could call it Meteor II or something. XD

Or a Duel Monster attack. That's totally a natural disaster. LOL. ....Stop me now before I come up with any more off-the wall ideas. Because I totally can. XD

I'll definitely have to do a natural disaster fic sometime. X3 An earthquake was kinda what I was thinking of, though that might be partially because the most recent disaster film I saw was The Great Los Angeles Earthquake.

The Great Los Angeles Earthquake... Wonderful. XD; **is now wondering if she's gonna have to worry about earthquakes in California.** Maybe if I'm lucky, they'll all be confined to Los Angeles? Though I'm not gonna be too far north of there... XD; Between earthquakes down there, and tornadoes up here, I'm not sure which natural disaster I prefer!

Hmm.... That's a YGO story isn't it? Haven't yet gotten around to reading those. XD;

XD; At least the movie's fictitious, so I don't think they've had one of the same magnitude as depicted in it. Earthquakes are a concern in L.A., but I'm not sure how far the effects extend. Hmm....
