I don't think I'll be on tonight. I wasn't able to get my thing last night at Borders and we have a mountainload of stuff that we're trying to do today. If we don't get it done today, I don't know what I'll do. I don't want to call and ask them to extend the hold again! And tomorrow the libraries close at six, so there'd be even more of a rush.
I really have to be careful with how I write the Linda character in Will the Real Baby Face Please Stand Up? I'm afraid that if I don't look out, she'll fall in love with Tony. XD; And the last thing I want to do is to create a Mary-Sue. Though, even if she fell in love with him, I'm pretty sure it would be unrequited. But still . . . I'd rather not do the angle at all. At least that's what I tell myself in my more sane moments. Every now and then I actually do struggle a bit with such matters, like in the past with the Seto/Téa thing.
I'm so ashamed of myself for creating a blatant Mary-Sue when I was writing Gomer Pyle fanfics. The character Mary Ann Harper existed solely to have a crush on Corporal Boyle. I didn't know what a Mary-Sue was at the time, but now that I do know, I know that's definitely what she was. One of these days I'm going to rewrite my Gomer mysteries and Mary Ann will get a very small part, if she gets one at all.
If I can get a screengrab of the scene where Baby Face is leaning on the bar and Ruby is standing next to him, I'd like to make a joke icon that says "Baby Face and Ruby: OTP." It would be a joke icon because I don't subscribe to the OTP (One True Pairing) craze. XD I do think that they're kinda cute together, but only if written for properly. If they both got all mushy, that would be scary. (For those who don't know, Ruby tends to be overly affectionate while Baby Face is aloof and distant.)
I need to put that $50 in the bank. (Well, I do have money in the bank, of course, but I need to make up for what I've used now.) I've been buying stuff online, since most of what I want doesn't seem to be around here. Early this morning I found a seller who had pictures of both Roy Stuart and Jimmy Murphy. I was quite surprised. ^^ The auction for the Jimmy Murphy picture was Buy It Now, so I did. XD; I didn't think I'd be seeing any more for a while, so I grabbed it. He is, sadly, very unknown in most circles. I think he has a lot of talent, and he is a comedic genius with all the reactions he can get to match what's going on around him.
I've been introducing Aubrie and Stacey to some of my favorite Monkees songs. X3 That's fun, and I'm glad that I've been able to successfully pick some that they like too. ^^
