Jan. 9th, 2008 08:46 am**snerk.** Somebody said the above on imdb.com, and I got terribly amused. But yes, Steve Burton is amazing as Cloud! I have complete confidence in him for Crisis Core. George Newbern as well. He will be spectacular as Seph, as he always is. X3 Rick Gomez as Zack I'm quite unsure about. If he can't pull off Zack's adorable cheerfulness and hyperactivity, I will be very sad. And unless Genesis's English VA does better than he did in Dirge of Cerberus, it will be hard not to groan when he speaks. XD; Genesis with a cliché accent is just awful.
Speaking of CC, there's a page for it at imdb.com, and according to it, Lazard's English VA is listed. Angeal's is not, however.

Every now and then, I like to watch a battle against Seph in KH1 to see if Lance Bass really was a bad choice for Seph's voice. I always come to the same conclusion. XD; **headdesk.** My complaint has nothing to do with the fact that he was part of a boy band, like some people bemoan. My complaint is that he makes Seph sound too young. It is SO. WRONG. Sephiroth is thirty years old! He sounds about eighteen with this voice. Maybe even sixteen. XD;; (And no, don't throw that argument about the characters being younger at me. I haven't found anything to support that in canon, except for the FF characters who live on the Destiny Islands/Twilight Town. They are obviously younger. The other FF characters do not seem to be.)
Anyone watching, do force yourself to watch until he cries "Descend Heartless Angel!" and "Prepare yourself!" at about half past the third minute. It's ... bizarre. XD That being said, I LOVE his entrance at the beginning, and the wing movements are just stunning. *___* I'm always squeeing over the animation of KH Seph's wing(s).
And compare that voice to how he sounds in KH2.
There's nearly a full minute of selecting stuff to fight him with, which is boring as heck, but this vid includes both the scene with Sora and the one with Cloud. X3
And I'd forgotten this! Right before they fight, he says to Sora, "Show me your strength!" I love any little thing that goes along with my fanon.
