The first part I've done before; the second part I don't think I ever have. Feel free to ask me to do this for any fandom, but I'm going to do FF7 right now.

1. The first character I fell in love with: I think it was Reno, in AC. Goofball trying to stop the antagonists.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sephiroth. Hated him until I was encouraged that his sane self was completely different, and to give him a chance.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Hmm.... I don't like Yuffie as much as some people do. However, I love her in AC and DoC. She really seems to have matured from what she once was. Her appearance in Crisis Core, and some of her behavior in the original game, makes my teeth grind. XD;
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: That would be several. But I'll say Aerith. She's my favorite female character.
5. The character I wouldshag snuggle anytime: Sane Sephiroth. X3
6. The character I'd want to be like: I would still love to be like Tifa, strong and determined. But I'd also like to be like Aerith, who finds ways to have strength even though she isn't a martial artist. Not to say that Tifa isn't strong in ways other than physically, because that isn't true, either.
7. The character I'd slap: Lucrecia, still. AURGH. And Hojo, too. Man, poor Seph sure got a bad deal in the parent department. Wouldn't mind slapping Scarlet either.
8. A pairing that I love: Zack/Aerith. X3 They are so perfect for each other. Right from that first scene, where Zack flirts with her and she shoots it down in an amused, sweet way, you can see it.
9. A pairing that I despise: Sephiroth/Zack. ^^
10. Favorite character: Sane Sephiroth. Wonderful man, so kind and loyal, and so amusingly sarcastic. And his bond with Zack is so SQUEE.
11. What are your five favorite things about your fandom? Five things.... Hmm.... I'm not good with these kinds of lists.
One - The fans (at least the normal ones) seem pretty accepting of whatever you wanna do, whether it be off the wall pairings, exploring friendships, or crafting huge storylines.
Two - The fanbase on LJ seems to be largely composed of intelligent people.
Three - There's some of the most amazing artists.
Four - Using "fandom" now to refer to the series itself, it has some of the most handsome and beautiful men around. XD;
Five - Not to mention some of the most fascinating.
12. What are your five least favorite things about your fandom?
One - When it gets really hard to find friendship/other platonic fics. XD;
Two - Some of the fans tend to be elitist, and look down on those who love the whole compilation/who got interested because of AC, etc. etc.
Three - That we still don't have a Play Arts Zack figure! **but snuggles the Trading Arts Potion mini**
Four - It really is kinda sad, when fanmade plushies look so much better than the officially released ones. XD; **huggles http://www.setsunakou.com**
Five - That there is hardly any merchandise in the States at all, that can be bought in local retail stores.

15. What are your five favorite pairings? Zack/Aerith. Zack/Aerith. Zack/Aerith. Zack/Aerith. Zack/Aerith.Hey, try to make me answer these kinds of questions, and I rebel. Romance obsessions ... yawn.
16. What are your five least favorite pairings? Sephiroth/Zack. Sephiroth/Cloud. Sephiroth/Vincent. Sephiroth/Yuffie (WTH?). Yuffie/Cid (.___.).
17. Which character are you most like? I think there's elements of many characters. In the end, I might say Cloud, because I'm blunt, sarcastic, I blame myself for many things, and I generally feel rather weak. And yes, I do remember Cloud's dork side. That only makes me relate to him even more.
18. What is your deep, dark fandom secret? I will look at and squee over shounen-ai pictures of Sephiroth and Zack, and Sephiroth and Cloud, if I find them ambiguous enough for the platonic relationships fangirl in me to take over.

I exceeded the limit for a comment, so I'm going to post the YGO request here, too.
1. The first character I fell in love with: Bakura and his Yami. First episode I saw was The Evil Spirit of the Ring, and I was intrigued by the awesomeness that is Yami B.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Marik, perhaps. I really struggled with whether to like him or not, same kinda thing I had going on with Seph.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I actually like pretty much all the characters, so I'm not sure. Possibly I don't like Serenity as much as some do? Or maybe I'm usually indifferent. I know I go up and down with Joey. Depends on my mood, and how annoyed I am by his often brash and rude behavior. And Yami Marik, man. He has a horde of fangirls, and I'm just going NO. He's a good villain, but fangirling over a guy who goes veiny and sticks out his tongue is just creepy. Even creepier is to fangirl over his evil deeds of nearly killing so many characters. @___@
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Téa. Intelligent people who dislike her have tried to explain to me why they do, and I still can't grasp it. XD; Either that or they're just not explaining very well. But she really doesn't rant that much about friendship. She's practical, level-headed, independent, knows what she wants, and is determined to get it. And of course, she's a loyal friend.
Also, Siegfried is pretty disliked, and I've always liked him. He's so different. Yeah, we already had a kooky businessman in Pegasus, who's somewhat flamboyant, but he's got nothing on Siegfried. XD Plus, Siegfried is one of the very few characters who has never used magic and has never even been exposed to it. (Well, other than the Yugi & Yami Yugi phenomenon.)
5. The character I wouldshag snuggle anytime: I'm not sure. Been a while since I've crushed on anyone. Maybe I'll change the question (again) to a simple hug, like Lisa did, and say Bakura.
I wonder how many other words I've substituted for "shag" in this quiz, over the years.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Téa, determined, friendly, never gives up.
7. The character I'd slap: Vivian. She's what happens when fangirls get scary. XD; Kidnapping Yugi's grandpa and making Yugi duel her for a date. (And in the original Japanese, I think it was something even weirder.)
8. A pairing that I love: Seto/Téa. Tried to get away from it, never can. I just can't stop thinking they're perfectly compatible, and that their differing personalities only complement each other. Sometimes characters are so different it will never work, but I don't see it that way here.
9. A pairing that I despise: Alister/Valon, or any of the bikers with each other, or with Dartz. .___. WTH? Dartz is like a leader, a father figure. Plus, he's still hung up on his wife. Putting any bikers with him (or anyone at all, really, other than Phiona) is so, SO wrong.
10. Favorite character: At the moment, I think it's Téa.
11. What are your five favorite things about your fandom? 1. The anime-only arcs. Seriously, they're amazing. I hate when people diss them just because they weren't in the manga! 2. The intelligent fans. Sometimes it's not always easy to find them amidst the sea of wacky fangirls, but when they are discovered, it's a breath of fresh air. 3. The fact that YGO and its fandom sparked it all, the beginning of my immense improvement in writing style, finding almost everyone who is still my friend (usually happening because of my writing, or art), and getting into anime. 4. The merchandise! For a while there, YGO stuff was everywhere. It was so much fun to go into a store and almost always leave with something YGO-related. I just love collecting. 5. The fact that YGO fandom is still going pretty strong. Every week, almost, someone Favorites some old YGO story of mine.
12. What are your five least favorite things about your fandom? 1. Same as for FF7, it's so hard to find anything platonic! (It's also not easy to find Seto/Téa fics that make sense.) 2. The fangirls and other bizarre fans. XD; YGO is crawling with them. (Of course, FF7 is too, but I've had more experience in the YGO fandom. By and large, most FF7 fans I've seen are not scary.) 3. The fact that most merchandise is now gone from the stores. ;__; Wah. 4. Similar to #2, the MARY SUES. Ugh. Ugh. **headdesk.** It's really hard to find well-rounded OCs. 5. Can't really think of a fifth one. XD; Unless it's my displeasure that the YGO girls usually wear really short skirts/shorts, or low-cut tops.

14. Who are your five least favorite characters? Mr. Ishtar, Vivian, ... you know, I can't even think of five. Like I said, I'm pretty cool about everyone. Yami Marik is not a favorite character, but he sure makes a good villain. And an amusing one too, sometimes. So immature!
15. What are your five favorite pairings? Seto/Téa. Pegasus/Cecelia. Dartz/Phiona. Annd I think that's it. XD;
16. What are your five least favorite pairings? Seto/Serenity (the sweet girl soothes the beast idea, or something like that. I can see how it could be interesting, with Seto loosening up and Serenity growing stronger, but it just ... doesn't appeal to me. It seems like such a cliché). Seto/Alister (how does that one even WORK? I don't get it. It seems like another of those Enemies = hawt sex pairings, to quote Lisa's phrase). Alister/Valon (why??). Marik/Yami Marik (basically it's masturbation. Just no). Marik/Rishid (gah, they have such a wonderful relationship, with Rishid devoted to protecting Marik. Why do some people have to twist it all around?).
17. Which character are you most like? I'm not sure. I often compare myself to Joey, because we both have such big mouths. Sometimes I wonder if that's why I sometimes dislike Joey, because I see my own negative traits reflected in him.
18. What is your deep, dark fandom secret? I kinda like Alister's and Marik's wardrobe choices. XD; Only because ... well, I like shirtless men. Or partially shirtless, as the case may be. I don't care for seeing below the waist, but yes, shirtless men I'm very good with. X3
