**points.** Plunnie! While watching AC (which is a general thing I do on Saturday mornings), I suddenly wondered: why wasn't Zack there when all of Cloud's friends were lifting him up to fight Bahamut SIN, including Aerith? Then I wondered ... what if he had gone to talk to Seph and tried to convince him not to go through with his plan?
Finally finished chapter 2 of the Sonic X fic. Introed Fang, and he's rather irritated with the kids following him, as well as with somebody sniping at him. He's pretty much the same as I always wrote him, just now he has a different accent. And maybe he's slightly darker, too.
Forgot to mention this in the entry where I was discussing going out, so it gets this entry. We went to a bookstore type place on Wednesday. It was part bookstore, part odd-and-ends, and part antique mall. It was so awesome! X3 In the front they had a special display for July, with little Christmas trees in red, white, and blue that sported July 4th decorations. There were Independence Day themed garlands, pins, and other awesome stuff. I saw the windows decked out for Christmas last year, and now I'm wondering if they have the trees fixed up for every holiday. I wanna see if they do anything for Halloween!
It's in a really old building, and there were several rooms of stuff with open doorways leading to each one. In one room, a kimono was on display on a mannequin, along with some old American dolls, some beautiful glasswares, and books and CDs. Mixing the old and the new. X3 The main room featured quilts, baskets of buttons, and even an old bathtub of buttons. LOL. There were two rooms beyond that which had more of the antique mall features, but I was more interested in the upstairs. The stairs and the walls around them were painted mint green for some reason. It was so neat. X3
The top was mainly more antique mall stuff, and it was really stuffy up there because they didn't have air conditioning or even fans. But it was so cool. They had three rows of vendors' shops, plus an area with a couple of couches to sit on and relax, and even some old records and a jukebox that had selections from the sixties on up. It wasn't plugged in, unfortunately. But it had The Monkees, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey ... big variety. And there were lots of G.I. Joe things that were still mint in boxes. One thing I love about antique malls is that I can often find figures there that aren't so antique, but are out of print. Didn't see any I wanted at this one, but it was still fun to browse. For some reason, they had a bunch of old signs from Blockbuster hanging from the ceiling---"Five-Day Rental" and stuff like that. They're the kind with the flashing lights that make them look like movie marquees.
Back downstairs, when we went in the room with the kimono, we found another staircase that led to a smaller floor in between the two main ones. It seemed to be a clothing shop. It looked more like a costume shop in some ways. XD And the stairs were right there above part of the floor, so that you were standing underneath them at that part. Those stairs led up to another part of the antique mall.
It's such an amazing place that I wanna include something like it in one of my fics. X3 It will probably be in Dragons at Dawn.
