Further pondering on Espio's one horn led me to these possible explanations:
- Just having one is some kind of birth defect (like Tails with his two tails)
- He's from a mixed marriage, one parent being a Jackson's chameleon while the other was something else (Veiled chameleon or maybe the Asian variety), and the resulting genes gave him only one horn
- The character designer wasn't paying attention
And I had a crack idea of Charmy discovering that he can't very easily sneak attack Espio since he can see both in front of him and behind him at the same time, LOL.
Another crack idea involved Charmy flying in Scott's face and scaring him half to death. XD And the following dialogue would take place:
Sean: You have bees the size of housecats?! How big are your cockroaches?!
Charmy: **grins.** Depends on the kind of cockroach! Some of 'em are bigger than me! **gestures.**
Scott: **cringes in horror.**
Also, the Chaotix's team attack in Sonic Heroes? HILARIOUS. LOL. That is one crazy band!
Sonic Heroes in general is just plain fun. **bought it a couple weeks ago and it came last week.** And I find it amusing that Team Dark is the hardest, yet in some ways I find them easier to work with than Team Sonic. XD; Maybe it just had to do with how I was coincidentally using the controls, but it seemed easier to break robots with them, as well to get through the part in level 2 with the turtles and their platforms. Right now they're at level 4. I got the game in the first place because I wanted one where Shadow is playable, and I am not disappointed. X3 The other teams are fun, too, and playing the Chaotix makes me able to spot differences between them and their Sonic X counterparts. Game Vector seems smarter, LOL. And Espio with a New York accent = does not compute. I prefer the Sonic X voices for him (both Japanese and English). Though I like his Sonic Heroes VA when he's just speaking low and you can't really hear the accent. Charmy is just cute.
I think and hope I'm about done with chapter 1 of the Black Arms Project. The last scene is still giving me some trouble, however.... **keeps thinking it needs to be longer.** And I keep thinking the opening scene should have more details.
... And I've actually seen a couple of people who claim to ship Shadow/Maria. **BLINK.** How does that even make the least bit of sense? Oyyyy. I never once get the feeling that Shadow feels anything romantic for Maria or vice versa. It would just be disturbing---a hedgehog and a human? But what's more, they're more of a family unit. Gerald Robotnik even calls Shadow "son", both in Shadow's game and in Archie Sonic #171, which is just squee. X3
