I found it!

northeastwind sent. LOL! Priceless) and then went on a search for that Yami Bakura and Ryou Bakura story I misplaced. After discovering Yami Bakura is a listed character on 118 pages, I stared in horror, looked at a couple of pages, and then determined the story might have been before character listings and was never updated after the feature was implemented.
I'm rather proud of myself for how I found it in the end. XD; I knew I thought the person was a reviewer on a fic of mine, so I went to Stormy Weather and looked up the reviews. And lo and behold, she was one of them! The story is Never Doubt the Heart of a Yami by Jincks. Unfortunately, the sequel is unfinished and it's different than I thought; Yami Bakura can't move on after Bakura's death and then it goes into his past (and keep in mind this was long before Pharaoh's Memory arc was revealed). So far, Bakura hasn't returned/Yami Bakura hasn't tried to bring him back/etc. I'm not sure where I got that idea from, except that she said Bakura would be involved in the sequel.
Man, though, the first fic ... just as heartbreaking as I remember. **still didn't read the whole thing, but looked over the ending parts to determine if it was the correct one.**
