This should be interesting.

I started a very dark and creepy fic involving a serial killer from both Bakura's and Yami Bakura's pasts stalking Bakura in the present. It's only the second fic I've ever done with such a subject matter, and it'll be creepier than the Batman one. XD; The guy is obsessed with everything white. He stalks Bakura because he's obsessed with his white hair. I think he has a "collection" of white-furred and -feathered animals at his home. And possibly a collection of white human hair. o.o

I'm thinking he either has an Infinity item too, or else he's been collecting those or other magical items, and he abuses their power (or as much of it as he can access). And at the climax I think I'll use a twist based on a recent RP and he runs Yami Bakura through with a spear. o.o Yami Bakura coughs up blood and stumbles, nearly falling, but then probably in true Yami Bakura fashion, he still manages to straighten up and defeat the guy. XD; (He doesn't actually finish him off, because I think I want the guy's magical items to do that themselves. That is creepy and ties in to the larger plot.) Then Yami Bakura does collapse and Bakura runs to him in horror, trying and failing to get the spear out and to lift him up and growing hysterical. ;___;

Eventually Yami Bakura passes out/"dies", losing control over his form in the process, and he reverts back to looking like the Thief King, his default appearance. Bakura is still trying to get the spear out. It's one of the magical items, and no one's supposed to be able to remove it unless they are someone other than the victim who possesses an item, or unless they care enough about the victim to have the strength to pull it out. Bakura manages to do so, even though it's shocking him in the process. Then Bakura uses one of the guy's items to heal the damage and Yami Bakura revives.

Throughout the fic, he's still concerned wondering about this future battle between good and evil and if he'll even be able to fight on the good side. Seeing what happens to the serial killer when he abuses the items' powers makes him more concerned than ever.

This fic is also the first in this series where Bakura and Yami Bakura really realize how much they have come to care about each other. Either in this one or in another one, Yami Bakura loses it and goes psycho on someone hurting Bakura.

And pondering over other, random things.... I don't think this version of Yami Bakura gets sloshed on hard apple cider. LOL. It was amusing in the old mysteries, but I can't imagine it happening in this new timeline. Not unless he really drank a whole lot of it, of course. XD I might do one drunk Yami Bakura scene in a fic on that kind of a scale, as kind of a tip of the hat to the old mysteries. I have several things like that in my recent fics, mostly in the form of appearing or mentioned characters such as Oreo, Gabrielle, and Kasumi.

No idea on if Seth and Khu will ever resurface. But I'm way too fond of them for them to go bye-bye altogether. XD; Maybe they're High Priest Seto's crazy cousins. LOL. (Since Seth is way too different from HP Seto to ever be the same person.) Or they're from another dimension. XD
