Well, here we go....
Aug. 15th, 2010 05:28 amThe freezer fic is finished and posted. Now to hope that I don't get assailed for not only daring to have a modern setting, but having modern things as a central part of a plot.
And I've thought off and on it would be fun to do a Tutu fic set, more or less, in the film noir era. LOL. With Autor and Fakir running a detective agency and Ahiru as the secretary who keeps getting involved in the cases. mangaka_chan, who is writing a brilliant Prohibition Tutu AU, but my attempt would never be as detail-oriented as hers is anyway, so I doubt I'd really have to worry about that. XD;
Anyway, I think of her and LunaSphere and Serika_San and Neko_Broadway and some of the other old-timers as "Big Name Fans"---people whom the fans would immediately think of in connection with the fandom. I'm pretty much nobody in comparison. ^^; I've been in the fandom and the comm a long time, but I've just started fanworks for Tutu this year. Plus, I write about more obscure things rather than the most popular fandom things. But I have fun!
... I admit, I wonder a lot what it would be like to be known throughout a fandom, though. XD; Something else about me that's like Autor: I kind of really like the idea of fame and glory, to some extent, anyway.
ANYWAY, while as far as I know, Mangaka_chan's fic is an out-and-out AU, mine would be that they're being manipulated by a Story. LOL. Probably *the* Story. Fakir's nasty Story certainly makes for a useful antagonist.
I dunno that I'd really write it, though, especially since I'm already doing another Story antagonist fic with When They Call You. But it's a fun musing.
