**hugs icon Lisa made!** It's so pretty! *__*
I've had some vague ideas floating around for a while, mainly drabbles of Autor and Ahiru's thoughts during the times they canonically interacted. I decided to put them all together in another drabble collection similar to Love is Not a Victory March. I'm hoping the early ones may make my slight canon bending look more plausible, and that overall it will just be a fun and intriguing during-series read. I love filling in the blanks so much.
This drabble set has been a lot of fun to put together. It's heartbreaking and squeeable both. And I added a different interpretation of the aftermath of Akt 21 (i.e., my first Tutu fic, Remember Not the Hand That Wrote It, does not come into play here). Mainly because I just wanted to tinker with a different angle. And because this drabble set was a perfect place for more hurt/comfort. But I think my favorite drabble is the one for Akt 25, during the scene depicted in my lovely icon. It turned out the longest and has a really nice Autor monologue.
I'm trying something else different, too: there's no spoken dialogue in this drabble set. It's interesting and somehow it looks right.
And I got another plunnie while I was working on it. I wonder what Autor saw from his own life when the Story doubled back? I previously hadn't been as interested as delving into his unknown past, but I've since explored some aspects here and there, and a fic focusing on it could turn out very interesting. Hmm, did I pick the Retrocognition prompt at
paranormal25? It perfectly fits what seemed to be happening when the Story went backwards: seeing the past and being "in" the scene, without being able to change anything or interact with anyone. If I didn't pick it, maybe I'll use it as the remaining Writer's Choice prompt.
BTW, speaking of Akt 23, has anyone noticed the little boy waving a stick at the crows in Rue's first flashback? I'm pretty sure that isn't a random kid; he looks like he's dressed as Fakir was in a couple of his childhood flashbacks.
