Change of plans.
Jun. 16th, 2011 12:12 pmThe West Side Story fic I'm tinkering with was going to go up yesterday, in full. But while proofreading I decided it should be split in two. Then, while looking over the first half, I decided that No, it should be in at least three parts, maybe even four. So I split it again and put up the first segment.

Right now I'm fleshing out the second segment with another scene. Then I need to decide what else it might need.
I knew I had the nagging feeling that the fic needed something more. I'm relieved that I realized it before any of it went up. The split is going to make it a lot better; I'll be able to devote more to it and not worry that one lone segment is going to get too long to hold anyone's interest.
Once I sort things out with this fic, I hope to work on chapter 4 of the Kolchak fic. This West Side Story fic has become such a personal challenge to me to get done, that I'm not sure I can concentrate on the other until I accomplish that.
