... What to do?
Nov. 20th, 2012 03:44 pmI've been stalking several things I'm interested in buying on Amazon. Today they have the complete Route 66 show for a price I could actually afford at this moment. I don't know if the sale is only for today or not, but it wasn't on yesterday.
The question is, should I buy it? I love the show, and all the seasons have marvelous episodes, but the one I want most right now is 2. I was thinking of buying it by itself, but decided to wait and see if the whole set might go on sale. I probably would not buy the individual seasons other than 2, but the whole set would definitely be worth the price it's at right now. And that is likely the only way I'd end up with all the seasons.
But there's the other things I want and am still waiting for. If I just knew whether this sale would last beyond today, I'd know how much time I have to decide. I'm also waiting on some money in gift cards to come through, but I don't know when that will be. And I'd wanted to get the new Perry set, but I was kind of waiting for one of the gift cards for that.
Blaaah. So many decisions, so little time.
If I could split the cost of Route 66 with Dad, and say it would be a Christmas present for Mom (Mom and I both adore the show), that would work. Only I don't think Dad would be crazy about paying even half the cost of the set right now. (And I'm not sure I could stand to wait a whole month to see the episodes I'm most longing to, either.)
If I buy the set, I would still have the money for some of the other things I want, especially with the gift cards coming, but I'd probably have to figure out what I want the very most and do some shuffling around.
I keep coming back to feeling like I can't pass up this deal, though, so maybe that means this is one of the things I do want most.
