... Proof that I have a one-track mind at the moment: When I close my eyes, start to doze, and hear "Samsung" as "Sampson" on the radio. **headdesk.**

I love Deputy Sampson.

And squeeeeee! After checking and re-checking multiple times, I finally snagged a decently-priced new and sealed copy of season 1 of The Wild Wild West on eBay! It's already been marked as Shipped. I would have posted last night, but I had to run as soon as I made the purchase.

I am rather giddy about it, considering I don't even like season 1 as much as the others. But Robert Conrad did introductions for each episode, which are gold, the episodes are complete and uncut (MeTV sometimes doesn't air the complete versions), and there are definitely episodes I love even in season 1.

Most especially The Night of the Sudden Plague, of course. Oh, am I going to screencap the heck out of that one. Many many Coley pictures.

(And yes, it was my desire to have a DVD copy of that episode that made me especially long to own season 1 right now.)

Now I just need season 4, which remains the most expensive season. Still cheap for a season set, but a bit more than I'm willing to pay right now. So far I've got the other three WWW seasons for $14.99 each. Squeeee.

I did end up buying the Route 66 complete set, too. I'm still not fully sure what to think of that decision, but I also feel I would have regretted not getting it. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing many of the episodes. I read an episode guide while trying to seriously decide whether to buy it, and I got really excited by a lot of the summaries. It's such an awesome series, filled with helping people and moral points. And it generally flows naturally, too; they don't hit you over the head with the lessons.
