... Say what?
Dec. 9th, 2012 04:30 amI find it highly amusing that whenever someone talks about The Avengers, my mind invariably thinks not of the recent superhero epic, but the 1960s British spy show (or a movie based on it). In the past, it took me ages each time to realize that people were not talking about the latter. I kept being amazed that it was being showered with such immense fan love in the here and now. I've started getting better about instantly realizing what they mean by The Avengers, but that doesn't stop me from continuing to associate that title with the spy show (which I've never actually seen, something I want to remedy).
And I feel sad that the British actress Delphi Lawrence never made it big when she moved to America hoping to get movie and TV parts here. She only seemed to make it into a few television guest-spots. I love her as Lucrece Posey on The Wild Wild West.
... And for Pete's sake, Livejournal! Don't you dare flip me to the new Post Entry page while I'm right in the middle of prepping an entry for posting! Aurgh, it's so aggravating that I have to manually tell it to keep me on the old version every single time. And it's even worse if it starts on the old version and flips me to the new without warning! That's the first time it's done that. Usually it starts right out as the new and I can switch it back immediately before doing anything else.
